Abstract:
A body and method for adjusting tension in springs are disclosed. The body is formed for attachment to a primary attachment portion of a collar system and comprises complementary engagement means on its inside and holes propagating from the outside towards the inside of the body, the holes being arranged for receiving an alternative tension adjusting tool, such as an iron bar. The method, for adjusting tension in springs mounted upon rotatable shafts, comprises attaching the body in splined engagement to a collar rotatably mounted upon said shaft, providing a tension adjusting tool, such as an iron bar, in said holes of said body, and winding said collar by winding said body using said tension adjusting tool.
Abstract:
A collar system (50) for being rotatably mounted upon a shaft and thus enabling tensioning of springs (57) mounted upon rotatable shafts. The collar system (50) comprises a secondary attachment portion (54) adapted for mechanical connection to one end of said spring (57) mounted upon said shaft; a primary attachment portion (51) on said collar (50) having longitudinally (C) extending splines (52) formed on the outer periphery of said primary attachment portion (51); and said primary attachment portion (51) is provided with at least one groove (53) propagating transverse (D) to said splines (52). It is also disclosed a method for adjusting tension in springs (57) mounted upon rotatable shafts and a wrench assembly (1) suitable for performing the method.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A drive arrangement (10) for a shaft (12) has a module carried by the shaft (12) and including a motor (14), a driven wheel (16) and a drive wheel (36). The motor (14), gearbox (38) and drive wheel (36) are carried on a slider plate (42) which can slide transverse to the axis of the shaft (12). A front plate (28) is fixed transverse to the axis of the shaft (12). A Bowden cable (50) has its sheath (51A) attached at (52A) to the front plate (28), and its inner cable (51B) attached at (52B) to the slider plate (42), so that manipulation of the Bowden cable at a remote location allows force to be applied between the plates (28, 42), either tightening the belt (34) to apply drive from the motor (14) to the shaft (12), or releasing tension the belt (34), to disengage the drive.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A touch sensitive access means (16, 19a, 19b) for fitment to a vehicle (12) and arranged such that, when touched, the means signals unlatching of a door latch (23) of said vehicle, wherein the access means is programmed only to signal unlatching once a vehicle user has ceased touching the access means.
Abstract:
A sliding door mechanism controls a door 10 in the form of a series of horizontal slats articulated to the slats above and below to move from a closed position in a vertical plane, along between tracks 14, until open. The door is moved by cables winding on or off a cable drum 12 driven through a drive belt 16 by an electric motor 18. The motor is on a carriage mounted at 30 to allow the drive belt to be slackened to remove drive from the drum 12. Control circuits 20 for the apparatus are described.
Abstract:
To reduce the lift travel with a simple end position-recognition device which is reliable even on emergency manual operation and can be retrofitted, a radially projecting cam (2.7) connected to a drive shaft (2) of the drive unit engages during one revolution from tooth to tooth with the inner toothing of a ratchet (11) rotatable about and concentric with a spindle (11.1) offset parallel to the drive shaft (2). The cam (2.7) has an axial lift such that it can mesh with the ratchet (11) even with an axial shift of the drive shaft (2) in the event of emergency actuation.
Abstract:
Guiding and rolling device for compensating the loads of sliding doors, the device being comprised of a support for the rolling means embodided as a light casting hollow part (1), incased in a housing (T1) which is open on the lower side (T3) previously machined at the back of a door (T) (one at each end), comprising a vertical slit (11) for engaging a bogie or planar pivot (14), carrying a tandem of wheels (19) each with a rail-cleaner (20) and/or protector for the ball bearings incorporated to the pivot (14) and whose support (1) is internally provided with adjustment means (13a) for the pivot and wheels which are externally regulated, by manipulating a circular nut (13) and complemented with a set of sections integrated by a lower guide (23) with a double set of rails (23') and a third central rail (not sliding) (23') for the second section (24) covering the rolling area and a special edge-guard section (26). The device applies specially to a set of sliding doors, particularly for built-in wardrobes.
