According to various aspects of the present disclosure, exemplary embodiments are disclosed of EMI shielding, thermally-conductive interface assemblies. In various exemplary embodiments, an EMI shielding, thermally-conductive interface assembly includes a thermal interface material and a sheet of shielding material, such as an electrically-conductive fabric, mesh, foil, etc. The sheet of shielding material may be embedded within the thermal interface material and/or be sandwiched between first and second layers of thermal interface material.
Abstract:
Halogen-free, flame retardant, electrically-conductive adhesive materials are disclosed herein, which may be suitable for use with electromagnetic interference shielding devices. In one embodiment the adhesive material may include an adhesive, electrically-conductive material dispersed throughout the adhesive, and flame retardant dispersed throughout the adhesive. The flame retardant may remain distinct from the electrically-conductive material, such that the flame retardant is also substantially free of coating by the electrically-conductive material.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant conductive EMI shielding material having z-axis conductivity or bulk resistivity suitable for electromagnetic shielding and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: A flame retardant conductive EMI shielding material comprises a porous material having internal interstices, the internal surfaces of which containing an effective amount of flame retardant being electrically conductive and provided with at least one electrically conductive metalized layer, including copper, nickel, silver, palladium, platinum, nickel-plated-silver, aluminum, tin, alloys thereof.
