    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replenish a pipet tip rack with pipet tips by arranging telescopically stacked conical pipet tips of a plurality of pipet tip beds upside down within a pack. SOLUTION: Conical pipet tips 5 are arranged to a plurality of pins 10 upside down to form the bed of the lowermost pipet tips 5 and the other beds of the pipet tips 5 are telescopically stacked on these beds to form the bed of the uppermost pipet tips 5 and a pressing plate 8 is on the uppermost pipet tip bed. The pressing plates 8 have pressing holes 11 corresponding to the matrixes of the pipet tip beds 5 and the inner diameter of the pressing holes 11 is made larger than the outer diameter of the top parts of the pipet tips 5 and flaps 12 are attached to the edges of the pressing holes 11. The pressing plate 8 is slid to the area just under the pipet tips 5 to allow the flaps 12 to retreat and the pressing plates 8 and the pipet tips 5 are firmly and safely brought to a packed state within the pack 6.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve accuracy in measurement by guiding the measuring light principally only to one cuvette at a time in guiding the measuring light to a plurality of cuvettes arranged in one row. CONSTITUTION: A shell part of a cylinder formed of an opaque material is provided with orifices 10 parallel to the circumference of the shell part at predeterminde intervals in the circumferential and axial directions of the shell part. Also, Light from a light source is guided into the cylinder and an optical fiber 2 radiating light from an outlet ring 7 to respective cuvettes 1. The cylinder 8 is rotated by a motor at a fixed speed to direct the measuring light to the cuvette only when the orifice 10 comes to the position of the outlet ring 7 so that accuracy in the measurement is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make a piston in a pippette cylinder move within a definite range and thereby to enable sucking and discharging a prescribed quantity of liquid by limiting reciprocating motion of a rack by an electric motor via a pinion by means of a limiter. CONSTITUTION: A gear 15 is driven by the motor 10 to move the rack 17 in a main body in an axial direction and the moving of the rack 17 is limited by a fixed limiter 18 at a lower end and by an adjustable limiter 19 at an upper end. A nut knob 21 of the adjustable limiter 19 is connected with a screw 20, a gear of the adjusting knob 21 rotates an axis of a liquid level detector 31 via a gear 30, the liquid level detector 31 is connected with an electronic card and signals are digitized and are converted to liquid crystal display and simultaneously a liquid level range set by a liquid level selecting switch 28 is judged. Limiters 18, 19 and a ram 57 are made of an electric conductor and are connected with the electronic card. When the ram 57 moves and are abutted to the limiter 18 or the limiter 19, moving of the rack 17 is surely stopped and simultaneously the motor 10 is switched-off.
