Abstract: A device for measuring the tension in a tensioning belt comprises a retaining device for retaining a spring element, an elastically deformable spring element that is retained by the retaining device and on which a section of the tensioning belt can apply a force and elastically deform the spring element, the ends of the spring element being moved closer to one another when the tensioning force increases, and an electronic sensor unit. The sensor unit comprises a sensor system that measures the deflection of the spring element and generates a data signal, and a transmitter for transmitting the data signal to a receiving unit. The sensor system is situated at the ends of the spring element. The sensor unit may also be used for documenting the measured values of the tension.

Abstract: The invention relates to a lever device for tightening and securing together two end portions of strapping. The device comprises a pair of longitudinal side members interconnected in spaced parallel relationship. An arm arranged adjacent one end of the device is attached at its one end to one of the side members and has its other free end disposed adjacent the other side member so as to be engageable by a looped one end portion of the strapping passed thereover. A first cross-member interconnects the side members at that side of said arm adjacent said one end of the device, a pair of second cross-members interconnect said side members at that side of said arm remote from said one end of the device and are engageable by the other end portion of the strapping, and a pair of projections extend in opposed relationship from respective side members to define a gap at or adjacent the other end of the device. In use the device is engaged by the two end portions of the strapping and the position of the device is reversed so that the two end portions of the strapping are brought together and overlapped to tension the strapping and secure the two end portions together.

Abstract: A tension absorber produced from a flexible strand which is only loadable under tension and which tension absorber possesses the advantages of a chain formed from strand material but can be easily and cost-effectively produced. The strand is folded into three or more loop sections. Proceeding from the beginning of the strand a succeeding loop section arranged offset in the direction of the end of the strand follows each preceding loop section arranged offset in the direction of the beginning, until the last loop section has been reached. Each loop section has a loop which encloses a loop opening.
