    Abstract: Iron oxide/polymer colloidal nano-composites, a preparation process thereof, and cosmetic compositions containing the same nano-composites are provided to stably exhibit the magnetic properties of nano-composites by inhibiting the coagulation and precipitation of magnetic particles in cosmetic composition, so that blood circulation in the skin is promoted. The iron oxide/polymer colloidal nano-composites are provided, wherein iron oxide nano-particles are bound to the skin of the porous polymer particles, wherein the amount of iron oxide nano-particles is 0.001-30 wt.% based on the total weight of the polymer; the particle size of the porous polymer particles is 0.01-1,000mum; the surface area of the porous polymer particles is 10-1000 m^2/g; the porous polymer particles have pores of 1-10nm; and the porous polymer particles have functional groups for inducing deposition of iron oxide nano-particles. The iron oxide/polymer colloidal nano-composites are prepared by (1) dissolving monomer, cross-linking agent and initiating agent in solvent, (2) emulsifying the solution of step(1) in the presence of dispersion stabilizing agent, (3) polymerizing the emulsion prepared in step(2), removing solvent from the emulsion, and recovering the porous polymer particles, and (4) binding the iron oxide prepared by oxidizing the iron salt with an oxidizing agent to the surface of the porous polymer particles.
