상기한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은, 동영상 송수신을 수행할 수 있는 이동통신 단말기에 있어서, TV방송 신호를 수신하는 안테나(ANT); 상기 안테나(ANT)로부터의 TV방송 신호에 포함된 복수의 채널중 채널선택신호(SCH)에 따라 원하는 채널을 선택하고, 이 선택된 채널의 주파수를 이동통신 주파수로 컨버젼 하는 TV방송 튜닝부(21); 모바일 신호 처리부(22); 베이스밴드 아날로그부(23); 키입력부(24); TV신호의 음성 및 영상의 출력을 제어하는 모바일 스테이션 모뎀부(25); 영상 표시부(26); 및 음성 출력부(27)를 구비함을 특징으로 한다.
이러한 본 발명에 의하면, 동영상을 송수신할 수 있는 IMT-2000 단말기 등의 이동통신 단말기에, TV방송 주파수를 이동통신 주파수로 업컨버젼 하고, TV방송의 채널을 선택하는 기능을 적용시킴으로서, 장소 및 시간에 구애받지 않고 기존의 TV방송을 수신하여 시청할 수 있는 효과가 있다

Abstract: A frequency conversion apparatus with improved amplitude mismatching is provided to improve a signal-to-noise ratio by eliminating the amplitude mismatching of two oscillating frequency signals having a phase difference of 90 degrees. A frequency convertor(100) mixes two reference frequency signals to output an I signal and a Q signal. A comparator(200) compares amplitudes of the I and Q signals. An amplitude adjustor(300) varies the amplitudes of the I and Q signals according to the compared results. The frequency converter has an orthogonal signal generator(110) for generating first and second oscillating frequency signals and first and the second mixers(120,130) for composing the first and the second oscillating frequency signals. The orthogonal signal generator has an oscillator for outputting the first oscillating frequency signal and a phase shifter(112) for shifting a phase of the first oscillating frequency signal to output the second oscillating frequency signal.
