Abstract: A capillary for coating an insulation material and a wire bonding method using the same are provided to stably perform a wire bonding process by coating a surface of a bonding wire with the insulation material of gel state. A capillary body(12) has a through-hole(13), through which a bonding wire is inserted in one end of the through-hole, and is drawn out from the other end. A coating tool(16) is inserted in the outer end of the body of the capillary body to coat a surface of the bonding wire drawn out from the other end with an insulation material(18) of gel state. The coating tool has a tool body(17) disposed in a groove(14) formed on an inner surface of the through-hole.
