PURPOSE: A system and a method for ranging in a broad band wireless connection communication system capable of reducing wireless resource are provided to perform ranging code hopping in a broad band wireless connection communication system, thereby preparing ranging code attack of a baleful terminal. CONSTITUTION: A base station transmits information for ranging code hopping(302). The base station calculates starting point, hopping offset of a ranging code group through information for the ranging code hopping(304). The base station determines the ranging code group by hopping offset value. The base station compares at least one of ranging codes of the determined ranging code group with the ranging codes of the terminal(310).

본 발명은 광대역 무선통신 시스템에서 초기 접속 수행 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 통신 방법은, 기지국이, 각 FA로 기지국의 다른 FA정보를 포함하는 DCD(Downlink Channel descriptor)메시지를 브로드캐스팅하는 과정과, 단말의 다수의 MAC처리부들 중 하나가, 상기 기지국의 임의 FA로 먼저 접속하는 과정과, 상기 단말이, 상기 임의 FA로부터 수신되는 DCD메시지를 분석해서 기지국의 다른 FA정보를 획득하는 과정과, 상기 단말의 나머지 MAC처리부들이, 상기 다른 FA정보를 이용해서 상기 기지국의 서로 다른 FA와 네트워크 진입 절차를 수행하는 과정을 포함한다. 이와 같이, 발명은 다수의 MAC주소를 갖는 단말이 다중FA를 통해 통신하는 시스템으로 접속하는 경우, 단말의 서로 다른 MAC이 동일 셀(섹터 또는 기지국)의 서로 다른 FA로 충돌 없이 초기 접속을 수행할 수 있다. 광대역 무선접속, 다중FA, 초기 접속

A transmission power control device in a mobile communication system and a method thereof are provided to increase the capacity of the entire cells. The network entry with a terminal is performed(300). After the network entry is completed(302), transmission power control information is received(304-308). By using the received transmission power control information, it is determined whether the terminal is positioned indoors(310-314). If not, the transmission power is controlled by a preset value.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for supporting handover between a home cell and a macro cell in a wireless communication system are provided to scan home cells by using the information of home cells previously registered at a wireless communication system at which the home cells and macro cells coexist. A home cell information storage unit(602) stores home cell information inputted from a user. Here, the home cell information includes a BSID(Base Station IDentifier), UCD(Uplink Channel Descriptor) information, DCD(Downlink Channel Descriptor) information, neighbor base station list information and CCC(Configuration Change Count) information, etc. A controller(600) manages the home cell information stored at the home cell information storage unit, and controls the scanning of home cells by using the home cell information.

A canning method in a configurable broad band wireless communications system and an apparatus thereof are provided to generate and manage an additional list for partial scanning in the configurable broad band wireless communications system. If a controller(200) receives scanned information from a base station for optimization, an operation parameter is controlled by being provided to a network optimization part(204). A communications unit(202) performs a signal processing function for information exchange with a base station controller. An optimization operation parameter of a corresponding base station is determined based on the information received from the base station by using optimization algorithm. The determined optimization operation parameter is provided to the controller.

A system and a method for transmitting/receiving data in a broadband wireless communication system for normally performing handover are provided to perform handover normally by proving information about all adjacent BSs within a serving cell and transmitting the data to a specific MS in a unicasting method. A serving BS(304) connects an MS(302) existing within a cell in which the serving BS administrates(312). A serving base station administrates a predetermined cell confirms a mobile terminal existing within a predetermined cell(314). A message including information of a neighboring base station administrating adjacent cells and the predetermined cell is transmitted to a first mobile terminal. The first mobile terminal confirms the message necessary to be transmitted in a unicasting method.

An apparatus and a method for positioning a compact base station in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to install the compact base station in an optimal location according to installation space in the broadband wireless communication system. A controller(222) controls entire function of network connection operator. A base station registration process part(224) processes connection procedure of a user(210). The base station registration process part receives MAC(Media Access Control) address of the compact base station and address information of an installation building after connection. A user interface(228) processes en external interfacing function for transceiving connection apparatus and information on the user side. A building structure information storage(232) inside a user management server(230) stores structure information of the building installing the compact base station.

An apparatus and a method for using frames of various versions in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to include frame version information into an FCH in the broadband wireless communication system, thereby using the frames of the various versions including frames of conventional standards simultaneously. A method for using frames of various versions in a broadband wireless communication system comprises the following steps of: determining a version of a current frame(601); generating an FCH(Frame Control Header) including frame version information(603); checking whether a frame starts(605); transmitting a preamble for the sync acquisition of a terminal(607); mapping the generated FCH to a corresponding resource area and transmitting the FCH(609); mapping a MAP message according to the version of the current frame and transmitting the MAP message(611); and performing communication according to the version of the current frame(613).

An apparatus and a method for supporting different frame structures in a broadband wireless communication system are provided to define signaling for notifying a terminal of a currently provided frame structure, thereby supporting the different frame structures at the same time in the broadband wireless communication. A method for supporting different frame structures in a broadband wireless communication comprises the following steps of: determining a frame structure provided in a next temporal section and determining a MAP indicator and a MAP version index(701); checking whether a frame starts(703); transmitting a preamble signal to the foremost section of the frame(705); transmitting an FCH(Frame Control Header)(707); and generating an MAP message according to the determined frame structure and transmitting the generated MAP message.
