Abstract: PURPOSE: A input method for a capacitive touch screen terminal and an apparatus thereof is provided to realize contactless touch recognition according to functions, thereby supplying effectiveness. CONSTITUTION: If a requested function demands contactless touch recognition, a controller(14) realizes a contactless touch recognition area configured in the function. If the termination of the function is detected, the controller releases the contactless touch recognition area. The controller configures that the threshold capacitance of the contactless touch recognition area is relatively lower than a contact touch recognition area. The functions using the contactless touch recognition are a password input function and a coding function or a multimedia function.
