Abstract:
The present invention provides a system for optimizing a presence notification and a method thereof. The system includes: a presence server which stores presence subscription and presence information; and a presence XML document management server (XDM server) that stores authentication-related information, wherein the presence server stores filtering rules for transmitting notifications based on presence attributes. The present invention also includes: a step of storing presence subscription and presence information by the presence server; and a step of storing authentication-related information by the presence XDM server, wherein a presence notification method based on presence attributes which uses filtering rules for transmitting notifications based on presence attributes with the presence server is disclosed.

A system and method for transmitting/receiving encryption information in a mobile broadcast system supporting broadcast service (BCAST) are provided. In the mobile broadcast system, a BCAST Subscription Management (BSM) manages subscriber information of a terminal, and transmits to a BCAST Service Distribution/Adaptation (BSD/A) a first delivery message including a Registration Key Material (RKM) provided for registration of the broadcast service of the terminal and including at least one service or content's identifier. The BSD/A transmits to the BSM a first delivery confirmation message including information indicating success/fail in receipt of the first delivery message, and transmits the RKM to the terminal.

PURPOSE: A profile management method and a device thereof are provided to use a profile registration document which provides active profile information, thereby easily managing user preference and active profile for multimedia communications. CONSTITUTION: Profile information of one or more receivers is preserved in a profile registration document(410). A preference document is obtained from XDMS in which preference is saved(420). An application server applies obtained preference to a service request(425). If the preference of the receivers is obtained, the application server applies the obtained preference to a next communications request or service request.

A system and a method for providing location information while progressing IMS(Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem) call for calculating the location value in a commercial case are provided to confirm a transmitting terminal about the location of the transmitting terminal. A UE(User Equipment)(109) delivers an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) INVITE message to E- CSCF(Emergency-Call Session Control Function)(107). An E-CSCF determines whether the location value calculation of UE is requested to the SIP INVITE message. If the E- CSCF determines that the location value is requested from UE, the place value of UE is delivered to a PSAP with the IMS call. If the LRF(Location Routing Function)(105) receives this require-message, the LRF transmits MLP(Mobile Location Protocol) ELIR message including ID OF E-CSCF.

A system and a method for requesting presence information directly from a presence source are provided to enable a presence server to receive the presence information directly/actively from the presence server and control publication of the presence source, and enable a watcher to request the desired presence information and a presence information notification method to the presence server actively. A presence source(120) stores presence information for at least one presentity(130), registers presence information elements to be published to an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)/IP(Internet Protocol) core by matching with a media feature tag, and publishes the presence information according to the media feature tag when the presence information is requested. The SIP/IP core matches/stores the registered presence information element and the media feature tag. A presence server(110) transfers a presence information request message to the presence source. A value of the media feature tag represents the presence information element to be published by the presence source or presence information publication capability.
Abstract:
A system and a method for providing a converged messaging service are provided to present a converged messaging service to integrate various messaging services, such as IMS(Instant Message Service), SMS(Short Message Service) and MMS(Multimedia Message Service), to define a network element to store and manage messaging data efficiently in order to provide the converged messaging service, and to offer an interface to operate the network element. A system for providing a converged messaging service comprises a transmitting-side client(200), a converged messaging server(270), and a receiving-side SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)/IP(Internet Protocol) core(220). The transmitting-side client transmits a converged messaging service-type message containing a converged messaging service identification tag to the converged messaging server. The converged messaging server forwards the message to an associated receiving-side network. The receiving-side SIP/IP core receives the message and confirms whether the receiving client of the message supports an IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) service. If so, the SIP/IP core converts the converged messaging service identification tag of the received message into an identification tag corresponding to a message service the receiving client supports. Then the SIP/IP core transmits the message containing the converted identification tag to the receiving client according to the procedures of the IMS service.
