Abstract: PURPOSE: A profile management method and a device thereof are provided to use a profile registration document which provides active profile information, thereby easily managing user preference and active profile for multimedia communications. CONSTITUTION: Profile information of one or more receivers is preserved in a profile registration document(410). A preference document is obtained from XDMS in which preference is saved(420). An application server applies obtained preference to a service request(425). If the preference of the receivers is obtained, the application server applies the obtained preference to a next communications request or service request.

Abstract translation: 目的：提供一种简档管理方法及其装置，以使用提供活动简档信息的简档注册文档，从而容易地管理用于多媒体通信的用户偏好和活动简档。 构成：一个或多个接收器的简档信息被保存在简档登记文件（410）中。 从XDMS获得偏好文件，其中保存了偏好（420）。 应用服务器将获得的优先权应用于服务请求（425）。 如果获得接收者的偏好，则应用服务器将获得的偏好应用于下一个通信请求或服务请求。
