Abstract: A ceiling-mount type air conditioner is provided to prevent an amount of discharged air from suddenly decreasing and to prevent resistance of the discharged air from increasing when a user adjusts the direction of air flow. A ceiling-mount type air conditioner comprises a body(30), suction and discharge ports(33,36), which are formed on the bottom of the body, a heat exchanger(45) disposed in the body, a support portion to support the heat exchanger, and a blower fan(51) to suck and discharge air. The discharge port is provided with a blade(54) to control the direction of air flow. The blade includes a main blade(57) and first and second auxiliary blades(60,63) which are integrally formed with the main blade. The main blade and the first and second auxiliary blades are vertically spaced apart from each other.

Abstract: A ceiling type air conditioner is provided to improve the cooling and heating efficiency by preventing of air discharged from a middle portion of an air discharge opening from being sucked in again. A ceiling type air conditioner includes a front surface panel(20) and a discharge blade(30). An air introduction opening is provided at a central portion of the front panel. A plurality of air discharge openings(22) are provided along the periphery. The front surface panel is disposed so as to be exposed from a ceiling of a room. The discharge blade is installed in the air discharge opening to regulate the flow direction of the discharged air. The discharge blade has a structure in which the radius of curvature is changed toward both end points from a middle point. A drive motor automatically rotates the discharge blade.

Abstract: An air conditioner according to the present invention comprises a housing including a front panel with an opening and a rear panel on the rear side of the front panel; a jet flow fan on the rear side of the front panel to be rotated; an outlet exposed to the front side of the front panel through the opening; and a diffuser on the front side of the jet flow fan. The diffuser includes a fixed diffuser on the front side of the jet flow fan to guide air discharged from the jet flow fan; and a movable diffuser on the front side of the fixed diffuser. The movable diffuser includes a circular movable disk plate at the center of the outlet to be rotated; a ring-shaped movable grill on the outer surface of the outlet; a rotation part at the rear center of the movable disk plate to rotate the movable disk plate; and a plurality of movable blades extending from the movable disk plate to the movable grill to change the current of discharged air guided by the fixed diffuser. The present invention changes the current of discharged air with the rotation of the movable diffuser; and facilitates the volume and direction control of air discharged in every direction with the control of the movable blade of the movable diffuser.
