Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for heat protection of portable computer is provided to supply an affordable portable computer's heat protection device by simplifying the assembly process and minimizing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION: A device for heat protection of portable computer is composed of generation, transfer, and emission. CPU(34) is operated when the computer is booted and heat is generated. Most of the generated heat is transferred to heat sink(40) through the pad(52). A part of the transferred heat is continuously sent to the exterior through keyboard base(36) and the keyboard(35), which are attached on the base(42). The rest of the heat is sent to case interior air through cooling pins(44)(46). Cooling pins and base are formed as one device, which assists effective heat transfer. Also, heat sink's surface features anodizing processing that improves heat transfer rate from the previous models. Fan(54) sucks in the air in the cooling pin's vicinity, therefore maintaining air flotation and forcing refrigeration of cooling pins. Heat, which has been sucked in by the fan(56), is sent to the case and emitted to the exterior. Heat, which has been transferred to the interior of the case is emitted to the exterior through openings within the case and to the case itself.
