Abstract: 본 발명은 멀티 채널 무선 네트워크의 통신 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 데이터를 송수신하지 않는 동안 데이터 라디오(data radio)를 사용하여 데이터 채널을 스누핑(snooping) 하는 방법과 데이터 채널 선택시에 상기 스누핑한 결과를 이용하여 유휴 데이터 채널(idle data channel)을 선택하는 방법이 제공된다. 이에 따라 데이터 채널의 충돌을 방지하고 반복되는 채널 선택 과정을 방지함으로써 결과적으로 복수의 데이터 채널을 보다 효과적으로 사용하여 네트워크의 성능을 높일 수 있다.
