    Abstract: 본 발명은 다실형 공기조화기에 관한 것으로, 특히 본 발명은 하나 또는 두 개의 실외기, 복수의 실내기를 구비하고 실내기들이 냉난방 동시운전하는 다실형 공기조화기에 있어서 냉방실내기에 적정량의 냉매를 공급하여 냉방실내기의 냉방능력을 향상시키는 다실형 공기조화기 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다.
    이를 위해 본 발명은 각 실내측 열교환기에서 실외측 열교환기측으로 냉매가 유입되는 공통액압라인 상에 난방실내기의 실내측 열교환기에서 냉방실내기의 실내측 열교환기에 유입되는 냉매량을 조절하기 위한 전동팽창밸브를 설치한다. 그리고, 냉난방 동시운전시 실외공기온도에 따라 이 전동팽창밸브의 개도를 조절함으로써 실외온도가 변화하거나 실외기와 실내기사이의 배관길이가 길어지더라도 냉방실내기에 적정량의 냉매량을 공급할 수 있어 냉방실내기의 냉방성능이 향상되는 장점이 있다.

    Abstract: An air-conditioner is provided to improve the compressing performance by letting superheated steam in the constant capacity compressor even when the variable capacity compressor is unloaded and the bypass valve is on. An air-conditioner comprises constant capacity compressors(10b,10c), a variable capacity compressor(10a) in which coolant is compressed in the loading period and coolant is not compressed in the unloading period, a bypass pipe connecting the inlet and outlet sides of the variable capacity compressor, a bypass valve(16) which is installed in the bypass pipe and off in the loading period and becomes and on in the unloading period, steam injection ports(10a',10b',10c') which are provided in the constant capacity compressor and the variable capacity compressor and spray the superheated steam to a compression chamber, a superheated steam supply unit(15) supplying the superheated steam to the steam injection ports, and a steam shutoff valve(17) which is installed on the inlet side of the steam injection ports and off in the unloading period of the variable capacity compressor.

    Abstract: A control method of an air conditioner is provided to sufficiently realize cooling performance of each indoor unit by preventing the deterioration of cooling performance of some indoor units. A control method of an air conditioner includes the steps of passing a refrigerant with keeping a predetermined initial opening ratio of an electronic expansion valve(S100), determining whether an initial opening ratio maintaining time is over a predetermined time(S101), controlling the opening ratio of the electronic expansion valve to keep a difference of a T1 and a T2 within a predetermined range, if the initial opening ratio maintaining time is over the predetermined time(S102), wherein the T1 is a temperature of refrigerant flowing to a compressor, and the T2 is a temperature of a first indoor heat exchanger determining whether the difference of the T1 and the T2 is within a first predetermined range(S103), keeping the current opening ratio of the electronic expansion valve, if the difference of the T1 and the T2 is within the first predetermined range, and if not, controlling the current opening ratio(S104), determining if a difference of a T4 and a T5 is within a second predetermined range, wherein the T4 is a discharging temperature of the first indoor heat exchanger, and the T5 is a discharging temperature of a second indoor heat exchanger(S105), keeping the current opening ratio whether the difference of the T4 and the T5 is within the second predetermined range, and if not, controlling the current opening ratio(S106), determining whether a difference of the T2 and the T3 is within a third predetermined range(S107), and keep the current opening ratio if the difference of the T2 and the T3 is within the third predetermined range(S108).

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are an air conditioner and a method of controlling the same. In a selective cooling/heating multi-system air conditioner, refrigerant flow noise is minimized when cooling operations are changed to heating operations and vice versa. The method of controlling the air conditioner comprises opening one of cooling (164a-d) and heating (162a-d) valves so as to perform one of cooling and heating operations. The cooling valve is opened when at least one indoor unit is operated at a cooling mode, and the heating valve is opened when the indoor unit is operated at a heating mode. The method of controlling the air conditioner further comprises closing the cooling and heating valves, and, after a predetermined period of time elapses, opening the other of the cooling and heating valves so as to bring about a change between the cooling and heating operations of the indoor unit.

A high-pressure gas branch pipe(37) is branched between compressors(22) and outdoor heat exchangers(24) for moving a part of refrigerant discharged from the compressors in the cooling and heating mixed operation into the vapor-liquid mixing element as liquid refrigerant through the outdoor heat exchangers and the decompression element of the outdoor unit, and moving the rest of the refrigerant into the vapor-liquid mixing element as high-pressure gas refrigerant through the high-pressure gas branch pipe. The high-pressure gas refrigerant is mixed with the liquid refrigerant to be moved into a cooling and heating switching device as two-phase refrigerant. The cooling and heating switching device forms a vapor-liquid separator at the liquid pipe for flowing liquid refrigerant into the indoor units performing cooling operation and flowing high-pressure refrigerant into the indoor units performing heating operation.
