Abstract: PURPOSE: An expanding apparatus of refrigerant is provided to regulate the discharge flow of refrigerant variously by installing plural orifice passages and solenoid valves in a cooling cycle, and to improve stability and performance by minimizing damage of orifice passages. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant expansion device for decompressing and expanding refrigerant comprises a housing(61); a solenoid coil wound around the housing; a driving body(63) supported in the housing by a spring and reciprocated by the solenoid coil; a first orifice passage penetrating the side of the housing and decompressing and expanding refrigerant; a refrigerant inlet and outlet port formed in the housing; and a second orifice decompressing and passing refrigerant by connecting the housing to the first orifice passage in closing the end of the first orifice by the driving body. The discharge flow of refrigerant is regulated variously with the solenoid valve at low cost, and efficiency is improved with preventing damage.
