Abstract: PURPOSE: A waste-heat collecting device of a dish washer and a control method thereof are provided to achieve high efficiency with little energy using a heat pump device comprising a condenser and an evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A waste-heat collecting device(100) of a dish washer(60) comprises a heat exchanger(10), a heat pump device(20), and a heater(50). The heat exchanger heat-exchanges waste-water of a high temperature discharged from the dish washer with water incoming from outside. The water heat-exchanged through the heat exchanger is transferred through a pipe and is heat-exchanged in the heat pump device. The waste-water heat-exchanged in the heat exchanger is transferred through the pipe and is heat-exchanged in the heat pump device. The water heat-exchanged in the heat pump system flows into the heater through the pipe and the heater changes the flowed-in water to rinsing water of a high temperature. The heater transfers the rinse water of a high temperature to the rinsing chamber of the dish washer through the pipe.

Abstract: A cascade heat pump system using sea water is provided to prevent operation with an excessive compression rate for preventing efficiency decrease caused by a high compression rate when an atmospheric temperature is lowered or high temperature water is produced. A cascade heat pump system using sea water includes a sea water heat exchanger unit, a heat media circulating unit, a low stage refrigerant circulating unit and a high stage refrigerant circulating unit. The heat exchange is carried out by a sea water heat exchanger(14) between sea water heat exchanger unit and the heat media circulating unit, a low stage condenser(12) or a low stage evaporator(18) between the heat media circulating and the low stage refrigerant circulating unit and a cascade heat exchanger(16) serving as a receiver between the low and high stage refrigerant circulating units. If a temperature difference between fluids is low, a low stage compressor is driven alone. In the other case, high and low stage compressors(11,21) are driven together simultaneously for reducing irreversibility in compression procedure.
