Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a high voltage thyristor diode switch is provided to reduce size and weight by realizing a TDS driving apparatus with a small number of elements. CONSTITUTION: A thyristor(T1) is connected to a diode(D1) in inverse parallel. One TDS is composed of the thyristor(T1) and the diode(D1). Four TDSs compose one TDS module. One TDS module is driven by one voltage transformer(Tr). Control signal voltages(Vgate) on both sides of the first side of a high voltage insulation pulse transformer is divided into K number of modules. The second side voltage of one module is Vgate/K. If a voltage to be controlled by the whole switch modules is 80kV and one TDS voltage rating is 1kv, at least 80 TDS should be connected in series.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring troubles of a serial thyristor diode switch is provided which generates a trouble diagnosis signal with a simple logical circuit and operational amplifier. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for monitoring troubles of a serial thyristor diode switch(1) includes a current sensor(3) connected to the switch serially to output the first positive signal in proportion to the current flowing through the switch, and a voltage sensor(2) for connected to the switch in parallel to output the second negative signal in proportion to the voltage across the switch. The apparatus further has the first pulse generator(6) for generating the first and second pulses respectively having the first length longer than transient time for charging a snubber capacitor of the switch and the second length longer than the first length when the first signal is less than a predetermined level, the first analog switch(4) one end of which is connected to the output of the current sensor, and the second analog switch(8) one end of which is connected to the output of the voltage sensor. The apparatus also has an integrator(5) whose input port is connected to the other ends of the first and second analog switches, the third analog switch(9) connected to the input and output ports of the integrator in parallel, and the second pulse generator(7) for generating the third pulse that starts when the first pulse is finished and ends when the output of the integrator becomes 0. The apparatus monitors trouble of the switch on the basis of the width of the third pulse that varies with the number of modules of the switch which are being normally operated.

Abstract: 본 발명은 MPC(Micro-Pulse Concept) 방식을 적용한 전기집진기용 펄스 전압 발생 회로에 관한 것으로서, 상기 회로는 펄스 전압을 발생시키는 펄스 전압 발생부와 가변 직류 전압을 발생시키는 가변 직류 전압 발생부로 구성된다. 펄스 전압 발생부는 인버터와, 싸이리스터 다이오드 모듈을 사용한 스위칭 소자와, 공진 커패시터 및 공진 인덕터로 구성되어, 펄스 전압 발생부에서 발생한 펄스 전압과 가변 직류 전압 발생부에서 발생한 직류 전압이 중첩되어 집진기에 인가된다.
본 발명에 따르면, 펄스 전압을 발생시키는 전원이 저전압의 인버터로 구성되므로 절연 공간이 줄어들어 크기와 무게가 감소하고 펄스 피크치 크기, 펄스 주기 등을 원하는 대로 제어하기 쉬운 장점이 있다.-
