Abstract: A codec bit rate control method for guaranteeing QoS of voice in a wireless LAN VoIP system is provided to adjust the amount of voice data through a variable bit rate characteristic of G.729.1 in a channel deterioration situation of a wireless LAN, thereby guaranteeing QoS of voice. An AP(Access Point) collects channel state information to grasp channel occupation time of terminals connected to the AP(S230). Each terminal adjusts a codec bit rate based on a channel occupation rate of the terminals about total channel capacity(S255,S260). The adjusted codec bit rate is transmitted.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for matching measurement interval of speech quality of variable band multi-codec are provided to match a measurement interval between a reference sound and a codec sound and reduce a measurement result distortion phenomenon. A measurement interval setting unit(110) sets an interval of speech quality desired to be measured by time intervals, and the first conversion unit(120) converts the measurement interval by sample units. An information synthesizing unit(130) synthesizes information about the measurement interval which has been converted by sample units and a digital original sound, and outputs the same.

Abstract: A media access method in a wireless LAN environment is provided to improve QoS of a VoIP system by extracting a common voice frame generation period within the same BSS(Basic Service Set) when a voice frame is transmitted through a radio link in which terminals each having a different voice frame generation period coexist, and reducing a transmission delay and jitters without performing backoff and polling. Mobile terminals that have requested transmission of a voice frame and APs(Access Points) connected with the mobile terminals through a radio link exchange frames for guaranteeing QoS, in order to allocate its QoS slot to each mobile terminal. A unit time interval of the radio link for transmission of the voice frame is divided by time corresponding to the least common multiple of a generation period of the voice frame of each mobile terminal. The interval divided by the least common multiple is divided into QTX-INT(QoS Frame Transmission Interval). The QoS slot is allocated to the QTX-INT so that each mobile terminal transmits the voice frame through the QoS slot.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A frame pad inserting apparatus in a home PNA(Phone line Network Alliance)-based data communication network is provided to reduce complexity of an overall implementation circuit by inserting a fixed length of pad irrespective of a frame transmission speed. CONSTITUTION: An Ethernet frame length calculator(230) calculates a length of an Ethernet frame applied through a transmission frame input terminal(210). A pad insertion determining unit(240) determines whether to insert a pad based on the calculated frame length and transmission rate(BaudRate) inputted from a management access unit.
