Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for managing a ship network. The disclosed apparatus for managing the network in the ship comprises: a network receiving part for receiving a traffic message from ship devices connected to switch devices in the ship over the network; a traffic analyzing part for parsing the received traffic message and analyzing information on the traffic; a profile management part for storing and managing a profile including information on a characteristic of the traffic message received from the switch devices via the network reception part; a switching part switching to a corresponding port according to a destination of the received traffic message; a resource allocation part for allocating a resource needed for the corresponding port according to the profile; and a network outputting part for transmitting data over the corresponding port and the network according to the traffic message. The apparatus for managing the ship network like this analyses the traffic characteristics of the ship devices with different characteristics on the ship network formed with various ship devices and switch devices, distributes resources appropriate for the analyzed traffic characteristics, and monitors and manages an exceptional situation when it occurs. Therefore, the present invention may embody the safe and reliable ship network by stably controlling and managing the ship network.
