PURPOSE: A room lamp operating device and method are provided to prevent drive obstruction by automatically putting out a room lamp or controlling a radiation direction or illumination of the room lamp. CONSTITUTION: A room lamp status distinction unit(110) determines whether a room lamp of a vehicle which is driven is turned on or not. A room lamp manipulation distinction unit(120) determines room lamp operation of the vehicle based on first information related to the vehicle or second information related to the surrounding environment. A room lamp operation unit operates the room lamp. A light-out unit(131) turns off the room lamp. A radiation angle changing unit changes a radiation angle of the room lamp.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for controlling a vehicle within an intersection are provided to control efficiently an idling state of an engine by controlling the ignition of the vehicle on the basis of a signal frequency of a signal light. CONSTITUTION: A signal light information processing unit(232) collects signal information including location coordinates and signal frequencies of signal lights installed at an intersection. A signal light selection unit(233) selects the corresponding signal light among the signal lights considering the location information of the signal lights and the location information of the vehicle within the intersection. A signal light selection unit determines the travelling direction on the basis of the location information of the vehicle within the intersection. A vehicle control unit(235) controls the vehicle on the basis of the signal frequency of the signal light. The vehicle control unit turns the ignition off so as to prevent the idling of the vehicle on the basis of the signal frequency of the signal light.

PURPOSE: A real time road traffic information offering system and a method thereof are provided to prevent an accident that might occur on a traffic jammed road by offering the traffic information to a driver. CONSTITUTION: One or more vehicle speed information collector(100) is included in a wireless network for sharing the information. The vehicle speed information collector collects the velocity information of the vehicle. A traffic information offering device(300) is connected to the vehicle speed information collector. The traffic information offering device identifies the traffic situation.

PURPOSE: A node update system using a virtual patition method and a control method thereof are provided to supply in order to update only a necessary part in a whole implementing image. CONSTITUTION: An update management server(100) transmits an update request signal for implementing an update process. The update management server transmits an implementing image information saved in a variable region of a sensor node(300) to the corresponding sensor node in replying signal receiving. A sink node(200) wirelessly transmits the update request signal or the implementing image information to the corresponding sensor node. The sensor node receives the implementing image information. The sensor node implements the update process of the implementing image based on the implementing image information.

PURPOSE: A vehicle calling system and a method thereof using a short-range communications unit for offering the service with the passenger information are provided to simply receive a calling command of a customer by using short distance communications. CONSTITUTION: A relay device(101) receives the calling for a vehicle request and passenger information. The short distance communications measure of the relay equipment transmits a calling for vehicle request result and dispatched vehicle information to the portable terminal. A control center(102) transmits the passenger information and calling for vehicle request to the vehicles corresponding to the passenger information. The control center receives the response about the calling for vehicle request authorization.

PURPOSE: A system for displaying facility guidance by using a sensor network and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to use a facility conveniently by receiving various kinds of information necessary for the usage of facilities. CONSTITUTION: An RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) reader(210) senses an RFID tag, and stores separate facility identifiers. A control server(300) receives the user identifier and the individual facility identifier, and extracts the use information for the individual facility. In addition, the control server calculates the estimated standby time for the use of the individual facility and transmits the estimated standby time to a user terminal through the sensor network.

An apparatus and a method for controlling lighting of a big office by using a wireless sensor network are provided to collectively turn off lighting lamps placed in a predetermined area if a person does not exist in the predetermined area, thereby preventing unnecessary energy consumption. A plurality of sensor nodes(100) senses whether a person exists in a predetermined area. The sensor nodes wirelessly transmit human sensing signals. Sync nodes(200) input the human sensing signals. The Sync nodes collectively control lamps(10) in the predetermined area based on the inputted signals. The human sensing signals comprises intrinsic ID codes which can perceive locations of the sensor nodes.

A system and a method for converting an address by using a unique identifier to associate an IP based system with a WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) node are provided to supply communication between the IP based system and a sensor node configuring a WSN through a protocol address converting function using a unique identifier in a gateway associating the IP based system with the WSN. A protocol converting unit(220) receives inbound traffic. The protocol converting unit converts an IP protocol into a sensor network protocol by mapping a sensor node ID by a network address of a sensor node. The protocol converting unit receives outbound traffic. The protocol converting unit converts the sensor network protocol into an IP protocol by mapping the IP based system ID by an IP address through an IP(Internet Protocol) based system address table(233).

A system and method of transmitting emergency condition using wireless sensor network are provided to cope with physical problems of users by adhering the biosensor integrated wireless sensor network communications device to the body of user. The emergency transmission system comprises the biometric sensor integration wireless sensor network communications device(430), and the relay(420) and management server(410). The biometric sensor integration wireless sensor network communications device is adhered to the body of user. The bio-information of user is transmitted from the biometric sensor integration wireless sensor network communications device through the wireless sensor network. By using the routing protocol of the wireless sensor network, the relay transmits the bio-information to the management server. The management server analyzes the bio-information and performs the emergency action.
