Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for establishing discovery and a communications resource of cellular based device to device direct communications. Abstract: PURPOSE: Multimedia broadcast and multicast service(MBMS) counting method and apparatus in a multimedia broadcast multicast service single frequency network(MBSFN) is accurately manage the number of user equipment(UE) receiving services. CONSTITUTION: An MBSFN-region-configuration message is received from a base station(S420). Information of MBMS-selected-services under a radio-resource-control(RRC) connection state is varied according to the selection or the termination of a first service requiring MBMS-counting(S430). An MBMS-update-requesting message containing the first list of the selected service and the second list of the terminated service is transmitted to the base station. The RRC connection state is changed into an RRC-idle state.
