    Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing an air flap for a vehicle is provided to reduce an engine warming up time by preventing the inflow of external air into a cooling module of a flap door before an engine gets warmed up. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening and closing an air flap for a vehicle comprises a cooling water temperature sensor, a controller, an actuator, a flap door(210), and a flap unit(200). The cooling water temperature sensor is located on one side of an engine in order to measure the coolant temperature of the engine. The controller compares the measured value transmitted from the cooling water temperature sensor to with a reference value. The controller transmits a control signal. The actuator is operated according to the control signal of the controller. The actuator includes a rotating unit(131) rotating in a clockwise and counter clock-wise direction. A through hole(11) passes through from a radiator grill towards the cooling module. The flap door is installed in a penetration unit of a front end module carrier(10). The flap door opens and closes the penetration unit according to the rotation direction of the rotating unit. The flap door makes air guide to the cooling module or block air flowing by being folded and inflated. The flap unit is fixed distance isolated toward the direction crossing the rotating unit.
