    Abstract: PURPOSE: A shift control device and method of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent shift shock due to discrepancy for shift finishing point by controlling hydraulic pressure of a synchronous point of a clutch for a combining side. CONSTITUTION: A shift control method of an automatic transmission includes several stages. A vehicle travels by synchronizing a random gear level(S101). Detection for a shifting condition about a power off up shift is decided(S102). A control for a up-shift is delayed for specific time when the shifting condition for the power off up shift(S103) is detected. Satisfaction of a learning condition for shifting control of the up-shift is decided(S104). A minus slip of a turbine is calculated when the learning condition is satisfied(S105). The calculated minus slip of the turbine is compared with a tie-up RPM(Revolution Per Minute) and an under-shoot RPM. A hydraulic control duty of a clutch for a combining side is compensated to make a slip RPM of the turbine to a target slip RPM. Thereby, stable riding comfort is provided by excluding shift shock.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A speed changing control method of a five-speed automatic transmission is provided to avoid resonance by differentiating vibration range of a clutch and a vehicle body and to change speed not by a clutch to clutch but by a clutch to one-way clutch for a slow kick-down. CONSTITUTION: In a vehicle of a five-speed automatic transmission, a forward one-speed gear level controls a first clutch as a connecting element. A forward two-speed gear lever controls the first clutch and a third clutch as the connecting element. A forward three-speed gear level controls the first clutch, a second brake and the third clutch as the connecting element. A forward four-speed gear level controls the second brake as a release element and controls the first clutch, the second clutch and the third clutch as the connecting element. A forward five-speed gear level controls the first clutch as the release element and controls the second clutch, the second brake and the third clutch as the connecting element. Thereby, resonance is avoided by differentiating vibration ranges of the clutch and a vehicle body. Therein, abnormal vibration and changing speed shock are prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A control method of shifting from N-range to D-range for an automatic transmission of a vehicle is provided to improve shift quality and responsiveness by controlling the feedback duty from starting shifting to finishing synchronized shifting during traveling at high speed. CONSTITUTION: A transmission control unit controls shifting by receiving information from a travel state detecting unit for traveling at high speed(S100), and detects shifting from D-range to N-range(S110). An open loop duty control signal is output to a driving unit in shifting from D-range to N-range(S120). The transmission control unit detects satisfaction of the first condition, and compares turbine RPM(Revolution Per Minute) with target turbine RPM(S130,S140). The open loop duty control is finished, and the feedback duty control signal is output to the driving unit(S150,S160). The duty is controlled by the transmission control unit in finishing synchronized shifting(S170). Shift quality is improved with feedback duty controlling open-loop shifting till finishing synchronized shifting.

Fuel efficiency is improved, and noise and vibration are reduced with preventing slip on the uphill road in starting.

Shift shock is prevented with downshifting from the 2-range to the 1-range in changing the traveling state of the vehicle.
