Abstract: PURPOSE: A door locking apparatus of a vehicle is provided to prevent theft, and to cut down manufacturing expenses by locking and unlocking the door automatically or manually with turning a knob or interlocking the knob up and down. CONSTITUTION: A door locking device for a vehicle is composed of a housing(100) installed in a door trim; a knob(200) interlocking with a release rod(40) by penetrating the housing, and having a contact piece(230); and a control unit(300) locking or unlocking a locker of a door according to contacting the contact piece of the knob to ground surfaces(110,120) of the housing. Ground surfaces are formed in the inner periphery of the housing, and the release rod is combined with the locker of the door. The contact piece is formed in the outer periphery of the knob, and connected to the ground surfaces selectively. The door is locked and unlocked automatically and manually with turning the knob or interlocking the knob. Theft is prevented with restricting unlocking of the door out of the vehicle.
