Abstract:
Blended, release materials containing crosslinked silicones, crosslinked fluorosilicones, and nonfunctional fluorosilicones are described. Articles including release liners and adhesive articles are also described, as are methods of making such blended release materials and articles incorporating them.
Abstract:
The disclosed medical dressing has a dressing body and a flap. The dressing body has a first major surface and opposite second major surface containing a skin-contact adhesive. The flap has a fixed end integrally connected to the dressing body and a movable free end. The second major surface of the flap comprises a securing adhesive for contact with the first major surface of the dressing body.
Abstract:
Adhesive compositions are provided that include a crosslinked silicone gel, a hydrophilic component dispersed in the silicone gel, and an antimicrobial agent dispersed in the silicone gel. The adhesive composition is readily applied to (and removed from) skin, and has desirable hydrophilic and antimicrobial properties. Advantageously, the hydrophilic component in the crosslinked silicone gel is not readily extractable (e.g., into a pH 7 buffer). Surprisingly, the combination of hydrophilic component with antimicrobial agent in the crosslinked silicone gel can provide a synergistic level of antimicrobial activity.
Abstract:
An antistatic pressure sensitive adhesive composition, useful in electronic and optical display applications, comprising an antistatic agent and a first block copolymer comprising at least two hard A block polymeric units each independently having a Tg of at least 50° C., and at least one soft B block (meth)acrylic polymeric unit having a Tg no greater than 20° C. The composition can comprise a second block copolymer. Articles comprising an antistatic pressure sensitive adhesive composition adjacent a first surface of a substrate.
Abstract:
Described herein is a liner comprising a sorbent material entrapped in a non-woven fiber matrix, wherein the liner comprises a first and a second major surface; and a first adhesive layer contacting the first major surface of the liner, wherein the first adhesive layer comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive.
Abstract:
Adhesive articles that include a substrate, a silicone polyoxamide-containing primer layer, and a silicone adhesive are disclosed. Methods of making the adhesive articles and the use of a silicone polyoxamide as a primer for improving adhesion between a substrate and a silicone adhesive are also disclosed.
