Abstract: Disposable absorbent articles comprising an absorbent material and an antimicrobial composition are disclosed. The antimicrobial composition includes a carrier comprising fatty alcohol and a poly(alkyleneoxy) polymer, and an antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial composition may be coated on to component substrates such as nonwovens and films, that are incorporated into disposable absorbent articles, such as disposable infant diapers, adult incontinence articles, feminine hygiene articles such as sanitary napkins, wound dressings, bandages, panty liners and tampons, personal care wipes and household wipes to provide odor control, and control of microbial growth.

The primer layer typically improves the adhesion between the silicone adhesive and a wide variety of substrates.

Abstract: Branched amorphous polyamide (co)polymers having a backbone formed by reacting a reaction mixture including at least 25 mol% of a di-amine selected from a secondary di-amine, a branched di-amine, or a combination thereof; and an aliphatic acid blend including a branched aliphatic dimer acid and a branched aliphatic trimer acid. Biodegradable and/or compostable adhesive articles including the branched amorphous polyamide (co)polymer also are disclosed.

Abstract: Primer layers for adhesion of a pressure sensitive adhesive material to a substrate are provided. The primer layer comprises a crosslinked polymer. In some embodiments, the primer layer has an atomic nitrogen content of greater than 6 wt%, and in some a ratio of atomic weight percent of oxygen to nitrogen of less than 3.0. In some embodiments the crosslinked polymer is the reaction product of an amine-functional base polymer such as a polyethylenimine (PEI) and a crosslinker, which may be a polyaziridine crosslinker. Also provided are two-layer constructions comprising the primer layer and a substrate layer; and tapes, such as flexographic plate mounting tapes, comprising the two-layer construction and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer.

Abstract: Orthodontic adhesives are claimed which use polymeric filler particles with defined particle size characteristics. The particle size characteristics are controlled such that these adhesives provide comparable mechanical retention and cohesive strength of conventional orthodontic adhesives when used to bond orthodontic appliances to teeth. Because polymeric fillers are generally softer than inorganic fillers, these adhesives are easier to remove from the tooth than conventional adhesives after debonding an orthodontic appliance. Embodiments of the invention include both self-curing and two-part adhesives, packaged adhesive-coated orthodontic appliances, and methods for removing a cured adhesive from a tooth surface.
