PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and system for repositioning teeth from an initial tooth arrangement to a final tooth arrangement. SOLUTION: This system for repositioning teeth includes a plurality of individual appliances. The appliances are configured to be placed successively on the patient's teeth and to incrementally reposition the teeth from an initial tooth arrangement through a plurality of intermediate tooth arrangements, and to a final tooth arrangement. The system of appliances is usually configured at the outset of treatment so that the patient may progress through treatment without the need to have the treating professional perform each successive step in the procedure. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose an improved tooth appliance system 100 and a manufacturing method by using this improved appliance 100. SOLUTION: This appliance 100 includes a polymer overlay or a polymer shell 102 having a cavity 120 for storing teeth formed there. This tooth appliance 100 has required rigidity or strength for firmly fixing the appliance 100 on a tooth, and provides required controlled power for re-positioning the tooth up to time desired for removing this appliance 100. This appliance 100 is formed for use accompanying a removal mechanism. This mechanism provides a selective release of the appliance 100 from the tooth when the removal mechanism receives a conditional change stimulated by environmental stimulation or environmental switching. A method of fabricating a plurality of dental incremental position adjustment appliances, said method comprising: providing a plurality of positive models of successive tooth arrangements, wherein each successive arrangement represents a different geometry representing a successive stage progressing from an initial tooth arrangement to an intermediate or a final tooth arrangement; and fabricating the plurality of dental appliances as negatives of the positive models at one time.
