Abstract: PURPOSE:To know a radiation dosage which is measured without contacting a portable dosimeter by sending and receiving a measured value as a radio wave between a reading and display device and the dosimeter. CONSTITUTION:A radio wave as the start signal for radiation measurement is outputted by the antenna of the reading and display device 200 arranged on the wall surface in a radiation control area. The radio wave is received by the antenna of the portable dosimeter 100 that each operator carries. Then the portable dosimeter 100 performs processing for sending a current measured radiation dosage to the reading and display device and the dosage rate is converted by a modulating circuit into a radio wave signal, is radiated from the antenna. The reading and display device 200 receives the radio wave and the received signal is demodulated and supplied to a display device, which displays the dosage rate measured by the portable dosage ratio meter 100 that the operator carries or the integral radiation dosage. Consequently, the dosage of the operator in the control are can be confirmed on the reader without checking a device under clothes through the reading and display device.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable digital counting with high reliability, by multiplying and adding a counting-rate obtained in the specified short sampling time and the previous average counting rate corresponding respectively to a weight-suffixed coefficient and by obtaining an average counting-rate by the weight average method. CONSTITUTION:An output of a counting-rate arithmetic operation circuit 14 is intro duced into the NO.1 weight-suffixied multiplication circuit 18 and the specified NO.1 weight-suffixed coefficient x is multiplied by a counting rate ri and r:x is issued from the circuit 18. And, the output of the circuit 18 has already been introduced into the one of the input sides of an addition circuit 20 and on the other input side, a value suffixed with a different weight is introduced into the average counting rate Ri-1 which was weight arranged at one measuring cycle beforehand. Namely, the output of the circuit 20 of the previous the time if introduced into a resistor 22 and counting rate Ri-1 is assumed as a signal lagged by one cycle by a controlling signal of a timing control circuit 16 and the signal is introduced into the NO.2 weight-suffixed circuit 24. Here, multiplication of the coefficient 1-x, representing subtration of the coefficient x of the circuit 18 from 1 is mode and the counting rate Ri-1 (1-x) is introduced into the circuit 20. Consequently, the average counting rate Ri fed out of the circuit 20 can be obtained by the specified equation.

The direction of each label 14 is detected by a direction detection section 26, and each tube 12 is rotatively driven by a rotation drive section 24 so that the direction is aligned in the prescribed direction. Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a dust monitor which can accurately detect in real time the concentration of artificial radioactive nuclide to a very low level even in such an environment that the concentration of natural radioactive nuclide, such as the radon, etc., is high and has excellent detection limit performance. CONSTITUTION: An α-ray detector 20 and γ-ray detector 30 respectively detect α-rays and γ-rays from the dust collected on a sheet of sampling filter paper 12. An α-ray measuring section 24 counts the output pulse of the detector 20. The found α-ray counting rate indicates the amount of natural radioactive nuclide in the dust. A γ-ray measuring section 34 find the energy spectrum of γ-rays from the dust by performing pulse-height analysis on the output pulse of the detector 30. An arithmetic processing section 50 finds the contributing amount of the natural radioactive nuclide to the γ-ray counting rate by multiplying the α-ray counting rate found by the measuring section 24 by a prescribed conversion factor and the real γ-ray counting rate of artificial radioactive nuclide by subtracting the contributing amount from the γ-ray counting rate. The concentration of the objective nuclide in the dust is found by using the real counting rate.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To undertake the radiation measurement of a liquid radioactive sample, reduce the capacity of a well for housing the sample and make thin a plate to form the well. CONSTITUTION: Suction space 16 for sucking a sample is formed between circular plastic scintillators 12 and 14 in a well 10. Open sections 18 and 20 are formed at both sides of the space 16, so as to be communicated to each other. Furthermore, the sample supplied from one open section 18 is drawn into the space 16 and at the same time, the air is forced out from the other open section 20. A radiant ray emitted from the sample drawn into the space 16 is converted to a photon via the scintillators 12 and 14 for detection with a photomultiplier tube or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the directional dependency of the sensitivity of a detecting element in a radioactively ray detector using the element whose detecting surface is covered with a filter. CONSTITUTION:A detecting element 12 is covered with a Ti filter 22 of a spherical shell shape which centers on the center of a sensitive unit 12a. A detecting element 16 is covered by a Pb filter 26 of a spherical shell shape which centers on a center of a sensitive unit 16a. Accordingly, since a route length when the ray incident on the sensitive units of the elements 12, 16 pass through the filters 22, 26 becomes substantially constant despite the incident direction, there occurs no difference of diminishing operations of the filters 22, 26 according to the ray incident direction, thereby reducing the directional dependency of the sensitivities of the elements 12, 16.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct the energy sensitivity of a neutron detector without requiring any moderator or shielding material. CONSTITUTION:In an Li foil 12, an incident neutron produces a charged particle which is then detected by means of a pair of semiconductor sensors 14, 16. Outputs from the sensors 14, 16 are combined and delivered to an amplifier 20. A first discriminator circuit 22 passes only a detection pulse higher than a first discrimination level being set for the purpose of noise removal. A second discriminator circuit 24 passes only a detection pulse higher than a second discrimination level being set by a discrimination level varying circuit 26. The second discrimination level is slid depending on the energy sensitivity characteristics of a neutron detecting circuit 10. In other words, the energy sensitivity is corrected by weighting the measuring time and a corrected detection pulse is counted by means of a counting circuit 32.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a personal dose managing system in which transmission of measurement data from a personal dosimeter and charging operation thereof can be performed easily and positively by transmitting power and close information by radio and charging a battery by radio. CONSTITUTION:A flat-type antenna 12 is provided in order to transmit measured dose information and to charge a battery by radio. A rectifier circuit 14 functions to rectify a high frequency signal in order to charge a battery 16. A small-sized and light-weight battery 16 having high charging capacity is preferably employed. A dosimetric circuit 18 includes a semiconductor detector and a measurement signal therefrom is processed. A dose data is transmitted automatically by radio when it is requested by the system. An I/D circuit 20 delivers an identification signal of personal dosimeter which can be used for identifying the individual at the time of entering or leaving the room and individual identification information can be added to the dose information.

Each simultaneous counting circuit counts only in the case of obtaining two detection pulses simultaneously.

On the basis of a count value of the whole gamma rays of the gamma-ray detector 16, a gamma-ray count value (count of a part of gamma-rays) by the beta-ray detector 12 is calculated by a first arithmetic part 26. A calculated value of the first arithmetic part 26 is subtracted from a count value of the beta-ray detector 12 by a second arithmetic part 28 so as to obtain measurements only of beta rays due to radioactivity detected on the body surface of a subject 100.
