    Abstract: An electronic device may have a housing. The housing may be characterized by a vertical axis and may have housing structures such as cylindrical housing structures with a cylindrical surface. A speaker may be mounted in the housing to provide sound through openings in the housing structures. A visual output device may be mounted in the housing to provide light through openings in the housing structures. The visual output device may include an electrophoretic display, a light-emitting diode display, or other display with an array of pixels that display images or may include other components for emitting light. During operation, voice commands may be received by a microphone in the device and action taken based on the commands and other information. The action taken may include playing sound with the speaker and providing visual output with the visual output device.

    Abstract: A head-mounted device (10) may be provided with displays. The displays (14) and lenses (38) through which images on the displays are viewed may be mounted in optical modules (30). Lens positioners (28) may be used to move the optical modules toward and away from eye boxes (36) to adjust eye relief distance. Control circuitry (20) may gather sensor data such as motion sensor data from a motion sensor indicating whether the head-mounted device is in free fall and/or image sensor data from a front-facing camera (34) indicating whether the head-mounted device (10) is headed toward a collision with an external surface. The control circuitry (20) may use the lens positioners (28) to automatically increase the eye relief distance in response to sensor data if a collision is predicted. The lens positioners (28) may include solenoids or other actuators. The positions of the lenses (38) may be adjusted without necessarily adjusting a distance between the lens and the display (14).

    Abstract: There is provided an electronic device (100) comprising a glass housing member (150). The glass housing member (150) comprising: a first glass sheet (1050a) defining a continuous front exterior surface (151) of the glass housing member (150); and a second glass sheet (1050b) defining a rear exterior surface (161) of the glass housing member (150). The glass housing member is configured to bend, in the transition portion, in response to the lower portion being articulated between a first angular position relative to the upper portion and a second angular position relative to the upper portion. The electronic device further comprising a display (1090a) positioned between the first glass sheet (1050a) and the second glass sheet (1050b) and configured to provide a graphical output through the first glass sheet. The electronic device further comprising an input device (1090b) positioned between the first glass sheet (1050a) and the second glass sheet (1050b) and configured to detect an input through the first glass sheet.
