The invention relates to the use of thermoplastic moulded masses containing, as essential constituents: A) between 29 and 99.8 wt. % of a polyester; B) between 0.2 and 2.0 wt. % of alkali metal salts of aliphatic carboxylic acids or the mixtures thereof, in relation to 100 wt. % of A) and B); and C) between 0 and 70 wt. % of other additives, the sum of the wt. % of A) to C) amounting to 100 %, for producing all types of laser-transparent moulded bodies.
