Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of a composition which contains a peroxide compound and a specific, generically defined copolymer, for bleaching teeth.
Abstract:
A chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) composition comprising: (A) inorganic particles, organic particles, or a mixture or composite thereof, (B) at least one type of an organic polymeric compound as a dispersing agent or charge reversal agent comprising a phosphonate (P(═O)(OR1)(OR2) or phosphonic acid (P(═O)(OH)2) moiety or their deprotonated forms as pendant groups, wherein R1 is alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, or arylalkyl, R2 is H, alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, or arylalkyl, and (C) an aqueous medium.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for passivating metal surfaces, in particular strip metals, by treating the surface in alternating layers with a) an acidic aqueous preparation containing at least one water-soluble acid group-containing copolymer (A) and b) an aqueous preparation containing at least one species (B) which is soluble and/or dispersible in water and which has cationic and/or procationic groups, preferably a cationic and/or procationic polymer (B1), said preparation a) always being the first and the last layer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for converting polymers chosen from the group (A) of styrene-containing polymers with the exception of homopolystyrene, or from the group (B) of maleimide-containing polymers, into a state of ductile deformability, characterized by the action of a force on the polymers below their glass-transition temperatures.
Abstract:
A polyalkylene oxide ester polymer with a weight average molecular weight M w of 500 to 50 000 g/mol and a polydispersity PD of 2 to 6, comprising 10 to 560 ether groups and 2 to 51 ester groups, which are interconnected with alkylene groups, which is significantly better biodegradable than conventional polyalkylene oxide polymers, the preparation of such a polyalkylene oxide ester polymer and its use.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an alkyl glycoside sulfomethylsuccinate having the formula R1—O—Sn—R2 wherein R1 is an alkyl radical having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, S is a monosaccharide moiety, and R2 is a sulfomethylsuccinate moiety. Furthermore the present invention relates to a process for making this alkyl glycoside sulfomethylsuccinate and to an alkyl glycoside itaconate which is a useful intermediate for use in this process. Furthermore the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising the alkyl glycoside sulfomethylsuccinate and to the use of the alkyl glycoside sulfomethylsuccinate for improving the foam stability of a cosmetic composition.
