Abstract: A camera having a control system for coordinating the release actuator and electronic shutter with either one of a battery and an electric generator incorporated therein. As the battery has lost electrical energy, the removal of the battery from the camera enables the coordinating system to restrict the manual setting of an exposure time within faster limits and to supply electrical power from the generator to at least that portion of the automatic exposure control circuit which contributes to manual exposure control during the second stroke of the shutter release button, provided that the necessary mechanical energy for driving the generator was created and stored on suitable means during the preceding cycle of film winding operation.

Abstract: An exposure control apparatus operating with selection of the diaphragm preselection and shutter preselection automatic exposure control modes is provided with first and second signal shapers arranged to cooperate with a lens aperture mechanism through a common intermediate member. Upon setting of a desired diaphragm value in the lens aperture mechanism, the intermediate member is driven along with the first signal shaper in exactly corresponding relation. In the shutter preselection automatic diaphragm control mode, while the first signal shaper is cut off from connection with an exposure value computer, the second signal shaper is driven for scanning operation to produce ever-varying outputs which are compared with the output of the computer upon coincidence to stop movement of the lens aperture mechanism, thereby the scanning result is translated to the proper diaphragm presetting, as the intermediate member is arranged to delay the start of movement of the lens aperture mechanism from the start of the scanning operation by a time interval determined by taking into account the signal response characteristics of the automatic diaphragm adjusting mechanism.

Abstract: A camera performing a film winding action with an electric wind-up mechanism and producing a winding completion signal upon completion of each film winding action. A counter and a discriminating circuit are reset by a back cover closing signal produced when a back cover of the camera is closed to have the counter count the winding completion signals. When both the winding completion signal and an output signal of the discriminating circuit representative of the initial state thereof are obtained, an electromagnetic release mechanism is automatically actuated to carry out an exposure action. Upon completion of the exposure action, the film winding action of the electric wind-up mechanism is performed. When the counter has counted a predetermined count value, the discriminating circuit is inverted by a count output of the counter to automatically render the electromagnetic release mechanism inoperative.
