Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an appropriate output image by performing reduction from size B4 to size A4 in both main and sub-scanning when the main scanning width of a receiving/reading original is equivalent to size B4 and the size of the recording paper is of A4 and further performing automatic or fixed reduction when the length of the sub scanning exceeds that of the recording paper of A4, etc. CONSTITUTION: An original is read by a contact sensor CS 9, and encoded via a read control gate array 10, and stored in image memory 13. A stored image is decoded by a recording control gate array 11, and reduction-processed by a reduction processing IC, and print-outputted on the recording paper by a laser printer 12. Also, received image data is demodulated by a modem 4, and checked whether or not an image error exists, and stored in a DRAM 13. The stored image is reduction-processed 14 by the content of an SRAM 3 after decoding, and outputted on the recording paper by the laser printer 12. At this time, reduction from B4 to A4 in both the main and sub-scanning is executed when the main scanning width of the original is of B4 and the size of the recording paper is of A4, and further automatic or fixed reduction is performed when the length of the sub-scanning exceeds that of the recording paper of A4.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain print-out with high resolution and inexpensive configuration by using a decoding IC operated in the page mode for a decoding section. CONSTITUTION:Image data stored in a DRAM 4 at recording are read by the DMA method, decoded by a DEC section of a CODEC 6 and stored in one of line buffers of an internal RAM. When decoding of data by one line is finished, a pointer used to store received image data is replaced with another pointer. The pointer management is conducted automatically. Furthermore, the operations of SCN/ENC, DEC/PRN are conducted automatically interlocking with each other. Thus, it is not required to set a pointer of the internal RAM to each section (SCN and ENC in the case of reading and DEC and PRN in the recording) for each line to set an operation start trigger, and data by one page are automatically read/recorded by having only to transfer data thereby relieving the load of a CPU 1 considerably. Thus, printing by high resolution is attained on a high speed page printer with inexpensive configuration without having of a page buffer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting of a password and a polling ID by collating only a confidential box number commanded by a DTMF remote without checking the password so as to accept a control instruction. CONSTITUTION:A CPVU 1 controls the entire equipment with a program stored in a ROM 2 and uses a RAM 3 for a work area. When the CPU 1 executes a confidential image transfer command, the CPU 1 checks whether or not a confidential box number is in existence in the command and when no number is in existence, the processing is terminated and when in existence, the number is stored in a box to check whether or not a password is in existence in the command. When no password is in existence, a NAK is sent and when in existence, the password is stored and whether or not the confidential box number and the image are in existence in the box is checked. When the condition above is not satisfied, the processing is terminated and when satisfied, the presence of the password is checked. When the password is not in existence, information of confidential image to be sent is set to a parameter without confirmation of the password.
