Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication equipment with which image data and audio data can be received by one time of call connection, and the recorded audio data and image data can be handled as related information. SOLUTION: When a call from a line is detected in a voice response mode such as at the time of automatic recording, a voice message automatically responds to the call (step S201) and voice data of an opposite party are recorded (steps S202-S204). At such a time, when a CNG signal from the opposite party is detected (step S204), image reception is performed (step S205) and received image data are stored in a DRAM. Then, managing information for handling the voice data and image data recorded by one time of call connection as related information is stored in a RAM and suitable display processing is performed so as not to leave either the reproduction of recorded voices or the recording of received image in the case of voice reproduction or image recording.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a facsimile equipment which can facilitate the department- based management not only in an outgoing mode but in an incoming mode by storing the department-based code information in an outgoing communication mode and then storing the call signal information detected by a CI detection circuit in an incoming communication mode respectively. CONSTITUTION: A RAM 9 consisting of a backed-up RAM stores various data and includes a department-based management information table 10 and a communication management buffer 11. The table 10 contains the department codes, the department passwords and the ring pattern ID, and the contents of the table 10 are previously registered by a user. The buffer 11 records and manages the communication result information on a fixed communication quantity. In such a constitution, the variables (i) and (id) are initialized and then a report title is printed. At the same time, a department code and its corresponding pattern ID information are printed. Then the used department code is stored in an outgoing communication mode, and the call signal information detected by a CI detection device 2 is stored in an incoming communication mode respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To detect system abnormality owing to the erasing or destruction of a program area e.g. and to immediately inform an operator of the information by periodically calculating a check sum at the starting a power supply in a system or during the operation of the system. CONSTITUTION: The start address and size of a ROM 2 necessary for the calculation and comparison of a check sum and a previously calculated check sum value are written in a previously determined address in the ROM 2. A CPU 1 reads out data front all the areas of the ROM 2 in accordance with the written information and adds the read data to calculate a check sum. After the end of the calculation, the calculated check sum is compared with the check sum written in the ROM 2. When both the check sums coincide with each other as the result of comparison, check sum work is normally ended, the system is started and turned to an operation enabled state to execute operation in accordance with a user's key entry or a call signal from an exchange. At the time of detecting a non-coincidence, an error message is immediately displayed to stop the operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To exclude the damage of the function of using an image memory by setting and managing a reserve area for the available area of the image memory. CONSTITUTION: The operator depresses an operation key 108 to set operation/ command/setting in various ways and the content of operation is stored in a RAM 105 and a display section 107 attains confirmation/revision/cancellation. A MODEM 114 is started by detecting a CNG and at first a CPU 101 discriminates the mode to be a forced memory reception mode or an automatic reception mode. Then a reserved area is ensured for an image memory 113. Then received image data are received in a forced image memory. When the image memory 113 cannot reserve the reserved area, no channel is acquired. In the case of the automatic reception mode, the available image memory 113 is used by 100%. Then the received image data are outputted automatically.

CONSTITUTION: A CPU 101 discriminates whether or not the current time is within a period when the summer time system is applied based on time information from a clock circuit (RTC) 116 to calculate the summer time (date and time with respect to the summer time system) and the RTC 116 provides the output of time information including the current time and information indicating whether the current time is based on the standard time mode or the summer time mode. The time information is fed to an LCD 107 via a panel control gate array 106, on which the information is displayed as the current time and fed to a print section 112 via a gate array 111, by which the information is printed out on recording paper or the like and displayed as time on a TTI (caller name) column on an original of a receiver side via a MODEM 114, an NCU (network control unit) 115 and a communication line.

When an error occurs during the direct transmission, the remaining original including the page during transmission (during read) is read and stored in the picture memory. By the control of a CPU 101, a called party for which communication is erroneously completed is redialed and called and the picture data of the remaining original including the erroneous page are memory-transmitted.

In such a case, unmagnified recording is performed when the receiving/reading original length is shorter than or equal to the recording paper length, and reduction recording is performed by judging the content of an SRAM 3 by a CPU 1 when the former is longer than the latter. In other words, the image easy to observe can be obtained by performing the reduction processing considering the effective recording range of the recording paper i.e., the space, and also, considering the footer when it is attached.

A password function limiting the compulsory memory reception, the designation of the start/termination date and hour/day of the compulsory memory reception, the display in a mode and the output of a report, etc., can be set.
