    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily checking a residue of fuel by bringing fuel near an outflow exit irrespective of a held posture. SOLUTION: A fuel container 7 has a container main body 15 storing liquid fuel. The fuel 10 stored in the container main body 15 is composed of a lamination of high-viscosity liquid 11 in a state not containing any air bubbles. The container main body 15 is provided with an outflow exit 9 which outflows the fuel 10 stored in the container main body 15 and a liquid introducing hole 14 which introduces air into a space surrounded by inner walls of the container main body 15 and a liquid surface of the high-viscosity liquid 11.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long ink jet head suitable for reducing printer size in which the ink channel has simple and easy-to-manufacture structure. SOLUTION: The long ink jet head 20 has a substrate 21 of Al alloy plate coated entirely with an insulation layer 33 on which heating elements 31 of 25 μm×25 μm are arranged at a pitch of 84.7 μm. The heating element 31 is connected with a common electrode 35 and an individual electrode 34 having an extension bent to the side of planes 27-1, 27-2 and connected to a drive circuit 26. A seal barrier wall 22 and a section barrier wall 23 are attached thereon and an orifice plate 24 previously provided with ink ejection nozzles 36 is attached further thereon. Ink holding chambers 25-1, 25-2 are disposed above the planes 27-1, 27-2. Ink supply tubes 39-1, 39-2, 41-1, 41-2 are coupled to the opposite end parts of the ink holding chambers 25-1, 25-2 thus forming an ink supply circulation passage.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an ink film generating no waste in the detection of a color and reduced in the area of an excessive coating surface. CONSTITUTION: In an ink film 10, ink layers of yellow (Y) 12, magenta (M) 13 and cyan (C) 14 are applied to a long base film 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof in a predetermined area unit in a plane sequence. The respective ink layers have width equal to or larger than effective printing width and extension parts 12-1, 13-1, 14-l of the same colors are provided to the end part outside the effective printing width of the ink film and advance to the adjacent ink layer regions to be formed so as to have the length almost equal to the distance K between the printing execution point of a printing head 15 and the detection position of a photosensor 17. For example, when the photosensor 17 detects the start end 13-2 of the extension part 13-1 of magenta (M), the start end 13-3 of the effective printing width region of magenta (M) is positioned at the printing execution point. By this constitution, corresponding to the detection of the extension part due to the photosensor 17, the printing head 15 can start the printing processing of the next color immediately.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an original image reader which makes possible high-speed and stable color resolution with a inexpensive and simplified mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent tube 1 emits light in a visible light area. The emitted light from the fluorescent tube 1 is emitted obliquely upward by a slit 3-1, to which a light shielding cylinder 3 is coaxially fixed, made parallelly to an axis while covering this pipe. Further, a color resolving cylindrical filter 4 composed of many pairs of filters pairing three kinds of R (red), G (green) and B (blue) filters are freely rotatably arranged while covering the light shielding cylinder 3 coaxially with these tube and slit. The emitted light of the fluorescent tube 1 emitted through the slit 3-1 of the light shielding cylinder 3 is transmitted through the color resolving cylindrical filter 4 and polarized to R, G or B and with this light, a reading line 8-1 in the main scanning direction of an original 8 placed on a glass platen 7 while turning its image face downward is irradiated. Concerning this reflected light, its optical path is changed into a lens direction by a mirror, the lens converges the reflected light, and an image is formed on a sensor. A monochromatic line image sensor photoelectrically converts the formed image and outputs the converted electric signal as color resolved image data corresponding to the polarized R, G or B at that time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an ink ribbon cassette which is a small-sized unit in a state of being removed from a main-body apparatus, by providing a cassette case which accommodates a feed reel and a take-up reel and holds either the feed reel or the take-up reel so that it can be pulled out from outside. CONSTITUTION:A feed reel 32 whereon an unused ink ribbon 31 is wound, a take-up reel 33 for taking up a used part of the ink ribbon 31 and a cassette case which accommodates the feed reel 32 and the take-up reel 33 and holds either the feed reel 32 or the take-up reel 33 so that it can be pulled out from outside are provided. As the result, the feed reel and the take-up reel of the ink ribbon are held in a small-sized ribbon cassette in a state wherein they are located so near that they almost come into contact with each other, when the cassette is not fitted to a main-body apparatus or when printing is not executed while the cassette is fitted to the main-body apparatus. Therefore not only the ribbon cassette, but also the main-body apparatus can be made small in size and the ribbon cassette and a thermal transfer printer which can be handled simply and conveniently are obtained.
