Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material for cooking appliance which is excellent in heat resistance, adhesion-proofness, and water repellency, and for which a film of a high hardness being excellent in abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, transparency and water repellency, is firmly bonded on a base material. SOLUTION: This composite material for cooking appliance is equipped with a film wherein particles of a functional group-containing fluoroethylene polymer A which is obtained by copolymerizing a functional group-containing fluoroethylene monomer having at least one kind of a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, a carboxylic acid salt and a carboxyester group, and a fluorine-containing ethylene monomer having no functional group, are dispersed in a metallic oxide B layer, on the surface of a base material.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorine-containing adhesive which holds heat resistance, chemical resistance, weather resistance and an electric insulating property and capable of directly imparting strong adhesivity especially on a base material consisting of a metal or glass and to obtain an adhesive film and a laminated body using the adhesive. SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing ethylenic polymer with hydroxyl groups obtained by copolymerizing 0.05-30mol% monomer of at least one kind selected from fluorine-containing ethylenic monomers having a hydroxyl group with 70-99.95mol% monomer of at least one kind selected from fluorine-containing ethylenic monomer copolymerizable with that monomer is used in the present invention.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material which is prepared by applying to a base directly a material constituted of a fluorine-containing polymer excellent in the adhesion to the base, without necessitating complicated processes of formation of a binder layer, surface treatment and others and to provide the composite material which is excellent in bonding properties, transparency and design properties in addition to weather resistance, stainproof properties, non- tackiness, chemical resistance and sliding properties. SOLUTION: This composite material is prepared by a method wherein a material constituted of a functional-group-containing and fluorine-containing ethylene polymer prepared by copolymerization of (a) at least one kind of monomer of 0.05-30 mol.% out of functional-group-containing and fluorine-containing ethylene monomers each having at least one kind of functional group selected from the group comprising a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, a carboxylic acid salt, a carboxyester group and an epoxy group and (b) at least one kind of monomer of 70-99.95 mol.% out of fluorine-containing ethylene monomers not having the aforesaid functional group is applied to a base directly.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give excellent wear resistance, flaw resistance, transparency (design property) and sufficient hardness by providing a film, in which copolymer fine particles of specific fluorine-containing ethylenic monomer is dispersed in a metal oxide layer on a surface of a base material. SOLUTION: The weather resistant composite material is provided by forming a film in which fine particles obtained by copolymerizing 0.05 to 50 mol.% of a functional group-containing fluoroethylenic monomer having a functional group represented by a formula 1 selected from a hydroxyl group, and 50 to 99.95 mol.% of fluoroethylenic monomer containing no functional group represented by a formula II on a surface of a base material. In the formula I, Y indicates CH2 OH X and X indicate the same or different, hydrogen atom or fluorine atom, and Rf indicates alkylene group including 1-40C bivalent fluoroalkylene group. In the formula II, Rf indicates CF3 or ORf (Rf indicates 1-5C perfluoroalkyl group).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a slidable composite material with a superior anti- scratching property and transparency, and having a sufficient hardness by providing on the surface of material a skin film having minute particles of a polymer polymerized with a functional group-containing or uncontaining fluoroethylene monomer copolymerized respectively by a specific quantity, dispersed in a metallic compound layer. Then, a skin film is formed on the surface of a base material, in which this and minute particles of a fluorine-containing ethylenic polymer having a functional group consisting of being polymerized with at least one kind of 50-99.95 mol.% of aforementioned fluorine-containing ethylenic polymer having no function group are dispersed in a metallic oxide layer being a matrix.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To bond an optical disc base plate to a hub with excellent bonding strength, water and moisture resistances, heat cycle resistance, etc., by using a fluoroelastomer component, an epoxy component, etc. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive composition containing 1-95wt.% fluoroelastomer component and 5-99wt.% epoxy, urethane or acrylic component is used to bond an optical disc base plate to a hub. The introduction of at least one functional group selected from halogen, hydroxyl, carboxyl, amino, amido, (a-substituted) acryloyl, vinyl, epoxy, isocyanato and alkoxysilyl groups into the fluoroelastomer to be used is desirable since it improves the compatibility and adhesiveness.
