Abstract: Un metodo que comprende: determinar, en un controlador de red de radio, RNC (18) dos valores del tamanos del bloque de transporte, TBS, por NodoB (10), en el que dichos dos valores del TBS maximos se asocian con las transmisiones por el equipo de usuario (14) en un canal dedicado mejorado, E-DCH, cuando dicho equipo de usuario (14) esta funcionando en un estado CELL_FACH, dichos dos valores del TBS maximos que incluyen: (a) un primer valor del TBS maximo para los usuarios que funcionan en dicho estado CELL_FACH que estan situados en un borde de la celda; y (b) un segundo valor del TBS maximo para los usuarios que funcionan en dicho estado CELL_FACH que no estan situados en dicho borde de la celda; el metodo que ademas comprende: transmitir, desde dicho RNC (18), dichos dos valores del TBS maximos hacia cada NodoB (10).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of updating the home node of a cordless terminal as well as a private telecommunication network, a means for handling cordless terminals or mobility server and a server where such a method is realized. A geographical area within which a cordless terminal is able to uphold radio contact with a mobility server is defined as the geographical area of that mobility server and each cordless terminal has one mobility server as home node. The network, means for handling cordless terminals and server determine a measure of the time the cordless terminal has been located in a geographical area of a new mobility server other than an old mobility server to which the terminal belongs, (step 92) and sets the cordless terminal as belonging to the new mobility server, (step 100), if the measure exceeds a threshold, (step 96).

Abstract: A system obtains geographic positions associated with location points of multiple user equip-ments (UEs) in a wireless network and receives Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E--UTRAN) radio fingerprint data associated with radio measurements performed at the location points by the multiple UE or performed by eNodeBs associated with the multiple UEs. The system clusters the location points based on similarities between the E- UTRAN ra-dio fingerprint data to create cluster boundaries and stores the geographic positions, cluster boundaries and the E-UTRAN radio fingerprint data in a database for future determination of UE geographic positions using the E-UTRAN radio fingerprint data. The system receives E-UTRAN radio fingerprint measurement data associated with a first UE in the wireless network and performs a lookup operation into the database to re-trieve one of the geographic positions that corresponds to the E-UTRAN radio fingerprint measurement data. The system sends the one of the geographic positions to at least one of the first UE. an emergency or police call center, a geographic information system (GIS) server or a node external to the wireless network.
