PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set for inkjet recording capable of preventing generation of blocking in an image part and recording an image showing excellent fretting resistance, and to provide an inkjet recording method. SOLUTION: The ink set for inkjet recording contains: an aqueous ink composition containing a coloring material, a resin particle having the minimum film-making temperature (MFT 0 ) of not lower than 60°C in case of the particle being dispersed in water, and water; and aqueous processing liquid containing a water-soluble organic solvent which gives the resin particle the minimum film-making temperature (MFT 25 ) 50°C or more lower than the minimum film-making temperature (MFT 0 ) of the aqueous dispersion, the MFT 25 being the minimum film-making temperature in case of the resin particle being in a liquid mixture of 25 mass%, based on the solid content of the resin particle, of the water-soluble organic solvent and water, a coagulant capable of forming an aggregate in contact with the aqueous ink composition, and water. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set that can record an image excellent in image drawability (for example, reproducibility of details, fine lines and the like of an image) without detriment to texture such as gloss of the recorded surface of a recording medium. SOLUTION: The ink set comprises at least two ink compositions, each comprising a colorant, a resin particle, a water-soluble organic solvent and water and having a different content of the resin particle, and an aqueous treating liquid containing a fixing agent for fixing the ingredients in the ink composition, where the resin particle content (mass%) in the ink composition having the lowest content of the resin particle among the at least two ink compositions is set to be not higher than the content (mass%) of the fixing agent in the aqueous treating liquid. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method capable of preventing feeling such as glossiness on a recording face of a recording medium from being impaired, excellent in abrasion resistance, and capable of recording an image having uniform drawing of a fine line, a micro image portion and the like, and having excellent density uniformity. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method capable of recording an image having abrasion resistance, uniform drawing of fine lines on the like, and uniform density. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording method includes (i) a treatment liquid supplying step and (ii) an image recording step. The treatment liquid supplying step (i) comprises supplying an aqueous treatment liquid, containing a fixing agent for fixing the components contained in an aqueous ink, on an art paper or a coat paper, in an amount of -50% to +30% based on the value of ΔV [ml/m 2 ] determined by formula (I): ΔV=Vi-Vr, wherein Vr represents a roughness index of the art paper or coat paper obtained from a measurement of liquid absorbability according to the Bristow method, and Vi represents an amount of transfer at the inflection point with the value of the absorption coefficient of the art paper or coat paper changing in the measurement of liquid absorbability according to the Bristow method. SOLUTION: An image forming method forms an image using the recording medium, an ink composition and a liquid composition.
