Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels, a plurality of inorganic light-emitting elements, and a first light-shielding portion. The pixels are arrayed on the substrate. The inorganic light-emitting elements are provided corresponding to the respective pixels and each have a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to the first side surface. The first light-shielding portion is electrically coupled to the cathode of the corresponding inorganic light-emitting element and prevents output of light traveling in a direction intersecting the first side surface of the inorganic light-emitting element.

Abstract: A reliability of seal portion of a liquid crystal display device can be improved by the following structure. A liquid crystal display device includes: a TFT substrate which includes a display region and a terminal part, and has an inorganic insulating film formed on an organic passivation film and an alignment film formed over the inorganic insulating film; a counter substrate, the TFT substrate and the counter substrate bonded together by a sealing material formed at a seal part surrounding the display region; and a liquid crystal sealed inside. At the seal part, a transparent conductive oxide film is formed between the inorganic insulating film and the alignment film. The transparent conductive oxide film exists inside an edge of the TFT substrate and hence, the edge of the TFT substrate is free of the transparent conductive oxide film.

The detection electrodes each includes a plurality of first linear parts, a plurality of second linear parts extending in a direction intersecting the first linear parts, and a bent part that couples the first linear part and the second linear part, the first linear parts and the second linear parts are metal thin wires, and the drive electrodes are translucent electric conductors.
