PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for searching a differentiated maturity inhibitor for fat cells, or a fat accumulation inhibitor being effective on systematic or local body fat reduction.SOLUTION: The method for searching a differentiated maturity inhibitor for fat cells and/or a fat accumulation inhibitor is characterized in evaluating a laminin signal inhibition activity by a test substance in the fat cell. The laminin signal inhibition activity may be an activity for inhibiting the bond of laminin and laminin receptor, the laminin signal inhibition activity may be an activity for inhibiting the expression of laminin and laminin receptor, or the laminin signal inhibition activity may be an activity for inhibiting intracellular signal transduction caused by the laminin.
