    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the maximum jet amount of a powdery coating material, enhance coating efficiency and coat in a short time even in the case the area of an object to be coated is large in a static powder coating gun which can provide a film having a smooth and uniform surface and reduce the adhesion of dust. SOLUTION: In a charged space 9 forming a part of a carrying line 5 for a powdery coating material in which a powdery material and magnetic powder are disposed, magnetized components 6 and 7 are rotated. A means 30 for allowing the passage of the powdery coating material and preventing the passage of magnetic powder is provided between the charged space 9 and the carrying line 5 on the downstream of the charged space 9. The magnetic powder disposed in the charged space 9 is made to follow the rotating components 6 and 7 to bring the powdery coating material with the magnetic powder. The quality of the magnetic powder can generate static electricity by the friction with the powdery coating material to charge the powdery coating material.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain toners which have excellent offset resistance and high performance by incorporating specific modified polysiloxane into these toners. SOLUTION: The modified polysiloxane expressed by formula is incorporated into the toners. In the formula, R to R denote 1 to 6C alkyl groups, phenyl groups or naphthyl groups which may be the same or different; R , R denote average 16 to 600C straight chain or branched chain satd. hydrocarbon groups which may be the same or different; (n), (m) denote an integer of >=0. The method of incorporating the modified polysiloxane into the toners merely involves mixing of the modified polysiloxane together with other additives with a binder resin or the monomer of the resin. For example, polyolefin, fatty acid metal salt, etc., may be used at need in combination with the modified polysiloxane in order to improve offset resistance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the toner sufficient in chargeability and capable of forming excellent image quality by suspension-polymerizing a monomer in the presence of a charge controller and coloring the polymer particles with a colorant. CONSTITUTION:The charge controller is uniformly mixed with the liquid monomer, and a polymerization initiator is added to form an oil phase. This oil phase is added into an aqueous phase prepared by uniformly dispersing a dispersion adjuvant, and the oil drops are dispersed with a continuous dispersing machine to reduce the diameters of the drops to a value suitable for the toner. This dispersion is supplied into a polymerization reactor provided with a stirrer, a condenser, a thermometer, a nitrogen introducing tube, and the reactor is heated to the decomposition point of the polymerization initiator and polymerization is carried out in an atmosphere of nitrogen. At the end of the polymerization, the colorant, such as dye or pigment, is added to the polymer liquid dispersion, and further stirred to color the toner to an optional color, thus permitting the obtained toner to be sufficient in chargeability and to form excellent image quality.
