Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the occurrence of after-spray in a button for intermittent spray which is attached to an aerosol vessel. SOLUTION: The button 10A for intermittent spray attached to a stem 5 of the aerosol vessel 2 has a housing 11, a cylinder 13 provided in the housing 11 and communicating with stem 5, a pressure chamber 24 formed in the cylinder 13, valve elements 16, 17 repeating to open and close the pressure chamber 24 in accordance with the internal pressure of the pressure chamber 24 and a spray port 20 communicating with the pressure chamber 24 through the valve elements 16 and 17. The button 10A for intermittent spray is further provided with a pressure controller 30 for increasing a storing space for the content present between the pressure chamber 24 and the stem 5 when the button 10A for intermittent spray is released from being pushed to the the aerosol vessel 2 side. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make this device a device suitable for the manufacturing of the substrate made up of brittle materials by removing a working regenerative layer existing on the surface of the substrate while performing an anode-oxidation process in the same device after the surface of the substrate is mechanically worked. SOLUTION: A lower surface plate 2 is freely rotatably provided on a base 5 and its upper surface becomes a planar surface working part capable of a mechanical surface working. The same kind of a polishing pad as that of the polishing pad mounted on an upper surface plate 3 is mounted on this surface working part. A glass shaped carbon substrate moving integrally with a carrier while lowering the upper surface plate 3 is finishingly polished by being held in between the lower surface plate 5 and the upper surface plate 3. Thereafter, the carbon substrate is subjected to a water system cleaning before the anodization is performed and contaminated materials such as the working degenerative layer which is generated on the surface of the substrate by the finishing polishing dust and organic contamination existing on the surface of the substrate or the like are oxidized and to be removed by the processing. Oxidized materials become gass to be vaporedly dispersed and they never remain on the surface of the substrate.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the polishing resistance of the inner and outer peripheral end faces of a substrate body with a grinding wheel, to improve the service life and polishing speed of the grinding wheel and to lower the surface roughness of the inner and outer peripheral end faces by impressing an electric field on the substrate body and subjecting the substrate body to grinding. SOLUTION: An electric field is impressed on the substrate body 1A and the substrate body is subjected to grinding with the grinding wheels 22, 23 in a chamfering stage of the substrate body 1A. The + side of a DC power source 40 is connected to the substrate body 1A to impress the anode electric field thereon. The - side is connected to the electrode 41 near the grinding wheels 22, 23 to impress the cathode electric field. A soln. coolant contg. an electrolyte is supplied between the grinding wheels 22, 23 and the substrate body 1A. As a result, the surface layer of the substrate body 1A subjected to the electrolytic treatment is dissolved and the polishing resistance is lowered. In addition, the hydrophilic components generated by oxidation decomposition are exposed on the surface of the substrate body 1A, thereby, the lubricity is improved and the grinding resistance is lowered. The service life and grinding speed of the grinding wheels are thus improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a magnetic recording medium without the intrusion of impurities from the ambient by successively continuously executing a washing stage for nonmagnetic substrates and stages for respectively forming magnetic layers, protective layers and lubricant layers in a continuous chamber. SOLUTION: The carbon substrates (nonmagnetic substrates) polished to a prescribed surface roughness and the carbon substrates (nonmagnetic substrates) polished to a prescribed surface roughness are held and erected by a holder at every prescribed number of sheets and are transported into a washing chamber 12. This washing chamber 12 is partitioned by valves 50a and 50b and is so constituted as to be internally hermetically sealed. The washing chamber 12 is internally provided with a pair of active energy ray irradiation sources 12a, 12a. The carbon substrates having Ti layers formed after the completion of sputtering by Ti targets 16a to 16a, are moved to the positions of the Al-10wt.% Si targets 16b, 16b and the sputtering is started. The washing of the nonmagnetic substrates and the formation of various kinds of the layers are continuously executed like this.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct finish-polishing in a short time by providing a mirror- finished substrate for finish-polishing a surface processed substrate of specified surface roughness having a fan-shaped processing trace in its surface. SOLUTION: The surface of a substrate is ground by means of ductility mode processing to obtain a surface processed substrate with a fan-shaped processing trace in its surface and Ra 5-300Å. The ground substrate may be the one formed immediately after forming or burning. Recommended preset cutting-in depth should be 0.05μm or more from the viewpoint of apparatus positioning accuracy, and should be 20μm or less from the viewpoint of restraining grinding load and micro-crack generation. It is thus possible to provide a mirror-finished substrate by applying the surface-processed substrate achieved like this to finish-grinding.
