Abstract: Un ascensor que comprende - un hueco de ascensor (S), - una cabina de ascensor (1) y un contrapeso (2) movible verticalmente en el hueco del ascensor (S), - una máquina de accionamiento (M) que comprende una máquina de accionamiento (5), - un conjunto de cables (3) que comprende cables (4, 4') entre la cabina del ascensor (1) y el contrapeso (2) y que pasa alrededor de la polea de accionamiento (5) y que mantiene suspendida a la cabina del ascensor (1) y al contrapeso (2), en el cual, la polea de accionamiento (5) está posicionada en el espacio del hueco del ascensor, el cual está entre una pared del hueco del ascensor (W) y la proyección vertical de la cabina (1), siendo el plano de rotación de la polea de accionamiento por lo menos sustancialmente paralelo a la pared del hueco del ascensor (W), en el cual dichos cables (4, 4') son en forma de correa, caracterizado por que el conjunto de cables (3) comprende exactamente dos de dichos cables (4, 4') que pasan alrededor de la polea de accionamiento (5), adyacentes uno al otro en la dirección de la anchura del cable (4, 4'), con los lados anchos de los cables (4, 4') contra la polea de accionamiento y por que cada uno de dichos cables (4, 4') comprende exactamente una parte de transmisión de fuerza (15) para transmitir fuerza en la dirección longitudinal del cable (4, 4'), o exactamente dos partes de transmisión de fuerza (15) para transmitir fuerza en la dirección longitudinal del cable (4, 4') adyacente en la dirección de la anchura del cable (4, 4'), estando hechas dicha(s) parte(s) de transmisión de fuerza (15) de material compuesto que comprende fibras de refuerzo (f) en una matriz de polímero (m), y por que las fibras de refuerzo (f) son fibras de carbono, y por que dicha una parte de transmisión de fuerza (15) o cada una de dichas dos partes de transmisión de fuerza (15) tienen una anchura (w, w') mayor que el espesor (t, t') de las mismas, según se mide en la dirección de la anchura del cable (4, 4').

Abstract: Abstract The invention relates to a method for condition monitoring of a rope (1) of an elevator comprising an elevator car (2) and a rope wheel arrangement (M), which rope (1) is connected to the elevator car (2) and passes around at least one rope wheel (3) comprised in the rope wheel arrangement (M). The method comprises obtaining travel data of the elevator car (2), the travel data including information describing occurrence(s) of car start(s) and/or bypass(es); and determining based on the travel data a total number (N) of car visits at a predetermined landing (Lo) in the path of the elevator car (2), which total number (N) is the sum of the number of starts of the elevator car (2) away from said predetermined landing (Lo) so as to travel to any other landing (L-1,L+1,L+2.. L-+n) irrespective of the traveling direction, and the number of times the elevator car has bypassed said predetermined landing (Lo) without stopping irrespective of the traveling direction; and comparing the total number (N) or a multifold of the total number (N) with a first predetermined limit value, wherein said multifold equals to the total number (N) multiplied with factor n wherein n equals the number of said at least one rope wheel; and performing one or more predetermined action if said total number (N) or the multifold of the total number (N) meets the first predetermined limit value, said one or more action including one or more of indicating a weakened rope condition, indicating a need for maintenance or replacement of elevator rope(s) (1), calculating an estimated moment of maintenance or replacement of elevator rope(s) (1), sending a specific or general warning signal, sending a fault signal, sending a signal to a service center the signal indicating weakened rope condition or a need for maintenance or a need for replacement of elevator rope(s) (1).
