Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure safety of a packaging by a method wherein a pair of starting switches which are intentionally controllable, are provided, and when both starting swtiches are placed under a control signal output state, a packaging means is operated, and when one of the starting switches is placed under the signal output state extending to a set period of time or longer, the operation of the packaging device is stopped. SOLUTION: When an agricultural product is packaged, after a worker drops the article to be packaged in an open hole 2a on a packaging table 2 by hand, both hands are removed from the open hole 2a, and a pair of starting switches 50 are pressed by right and left hands. By this motion, a packaging is performed as being specified. However, when the worker tries to start the packaging motion by one hand, and e.g. one of the starting switches 50 is kept under a depressed states with a gum tape, etc., one of the starting switches 50 is kept under a control signal output state, and a timer starts the counting of a set period of time. Then, when a packaging device is let to stand under this state extending to the set period of time without performing packaging, the packaging device is placed under a stopped state, and a lamp 54 lights up, and a buzzer gives an alarm.

For such a packaging device for leaf vegetables, the receiving table 4 is provided movably along a specified path. Then, an attitude setting mechanism which sets the receiving table 4 under an open state at a first specified location on the specified path, and sets the receiving table under a squeezed state at a second specified location respectively is provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To drop an article to be wrapped into a hole, draw a wrapping sheet at an outer edge of the hole and guide an upper side portion of the wrapping sheet to a place between right and left disc cutters to be cut out, so that the upper side portion of the wrapping sheet passes sufficiently backward and can be easily removed. CONSTITUTION:When a support member 20 of disc cutters 19 moves in the arrow direction along upper faces of holding parts 14 holding an upper side portion la of a wrapping sheet therebetween, the upper side portion la is guided to a place between both the disc cutters 19 and cut out thereat. Since a guide hole 20c is provided on the rear side of the disc cutters 19, the upper side portion 1a cut out passes through the place between both the disc cutters 19 to the rear guide hole 20c according to the movement of the support member 20 and is put into an upset state. The upper side portion 1a is surely pushed out and released from the support member 20 by pushing-out means 12. Accordingly, failure in cutting of subsequent wrapping sheets, which is to be caused by the upper side portion 1a of the wrapping sheet left on the support member 20, can be prevented, and work efficiency can be improved.

With an actuation switch pressed, the support table 3 is lowered. An auxiliary gathering member 11 is provided below the opening to surround the object A to have the sheet further gathered up. Then a pair of plate-like holding members 14 placed below the wrapping table 2 proceed toward the wrapping sheet 1 to hold an upper part 1a of the wrapping sheet 1 to have it gathered up. A disk cutter proceeds along an upper face of the holding members 14 to cut the upper part of the wrapping sheet 1 and seal it with an adhesive tape.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a packing sheet from moving due to inroads of air, by providing a protrusion, where the end of drawn packing sheet by a drawing means is superposed, in the packing table, in a packing method in which a packing article is fed from the upper side and enveloped with the contracted packing sheet. CONSTITUTION:A spherical packing article like a cabbage is dropped into the opening 2a formed on a packing table 2. A packing sheet 1 is contracted at the outer edge of the opening to envelop time article which is supported from the lower side by a vertically movable support bed. The packing sheet 1 is unfolded on the packing table 2 by the horizontal reciprocal motion of a drawing means 38 provided with a manipulating arm 41 to nip the end 1b thereof. When the packing sheet 1 is drawn to a specified position, the manipulation arm 41 does not hold the packing sheet 1. And in this time, the s[meet edge 1b is superposed on the protrusion 51 formed on the packing table 2. In this way, the packing sheet 1 does not move easily owing to the contact or friction of the protrusion 51 with the packing sheet 1.

If sensing signals have not delivered from the switch 31 until the counting of set time period finishes, it is judged that the members 14, 15 have not closed completely and cutting off by a disc cutter, blow-off by means of a jet nozzle, and application of adhesive tape are not performed, and the members 14, 15 are opened and the supporting table is turned down sideways to deliver an item to be packed onto a slide table, following which said table is raised to its original position to restore an initial state.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the cause for impact sound when returning a support stand supporting a packaged article after packaging from its discharge position to a position for continuation of packaging work by making the support stand held in the work-continuation position by force of a spring for an apparatus with which the article to be packaged is thrown into an opening provided on a packaging table and is wrapped up in a packaging sheet that is gathered up. CONSTITUTION:A packaging sheet wound up in a roll is drawn out and is extended over a packaging table equipped with an opening to which a spherical artcile to be packaged is thrown in. Then the article to be packaged thrown in is wrapped up with the packaging sheet that is gathered up with a circumferential brim of the opening, and the article to be packaged is wrapped up further with the packaging sheet that is squeezed by a squeezing mechanism. The packaged article A is supported with a support stand 3, and is discharged to a collecting part 15 by tilting the support stand 3 to assume a position for discharging. The support stand 3 is so constructed that it can rock round a horizontal shaft center P2 of a support member 6, and a coil spring 10 is provided between a part adjoining the horizontal shaft center P2 and a part 10a corresponding to the horizontal shaft center. The support stand 3 is kept in its position for continuation of packaging work by energizing force produced by contraction of the coil spring 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve workability of packaging by eliminating installation of an optical sensor or the like in a position obstructing an operator near a specified position on a packaging table for an apparatus with which an article to be packaged is dropped into an opening provided on the packaging table and is wrapped up in a packaging sheet with its four sides gathered up. CONSTITUTION:The end of a packaging sheet 1 wound up in a roll is caught with a drawing mechanism 58, and the packaging sheet 1 is drawn out by making the drawing mechanism move in reciprocation over a packaging table 2 equipped with an opening 2a to which a spherical article to be packaged is thrown in. The drawn-out packaging sheet 1 is cut at a specified position with a cutter 70. In cutting the packaging sheet, movement of the drawing mechanism 58 is controlled so that it can be stopped when an optical sensor 87 detects one of marks provided at specified intervals on the packaging sheet 1 in its longitudinal direction after starting of drawing-out of the packaging sheet 1 by the drawing mechanism 58. The drawing mechanism 58 is further controlled so that it can bring the packaging sheet 1 to a position (the position of the opening 2a) near the center by moving from the position of the aforementioned stoppage for a specified distance set in accordance with operation of a moving distance detecting means 88.
