    Abstract: A suede-like sheet material closely resembling natural leathers in feel and nap is produced by temporarily fixing a fibrous mat consisting of "oceano-insular" composite fibers, impregnating said fibrous mat with elastomer (A), smoothing the surface, impregnating the resulting mat with another elastomer (B) which is harder and less swellable than said elastomer (A), removing the sea or matrix component of the composite fiber, and napping the surface of the resulting sheet material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide artificial leather shoes having decent surface condition and appearance as well as sufficent colar and luster for reducing stuffiness and producing natural wrincles while in use. CONSTITUTION:An instep strap of artificial leather shoes is made of an artificial leather sheet, basic layer whereof is composed of aggregated fibres or the fibre including binding resin, and surface layers of one or both sides of the leather sheet are formed with porous polymer layers made of elastic polymer mainly composed of polyurethane or polyvinyl chloride or copolymer of the polyvinyl chloride. The surface layer is made up by forming and finishing after blocking up minute surface holes of some 30mu or less in size with the aid of fine grain dispersing agent.
