PURPOSE:To obtain the titled sheet having improved stretchability and drape properties, by forming a sheet using latently releasable fibers made by bonding specific two polymers, treating the sheet with a specific aqueous solution so that the fibers are released and separated into the components at the bonding interface of the polymers. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polymer consisting of polyamide, polyester and/or polyolefin and (B) a polymer consisting of polyester elastomer, polyamide elastomer and/or polyurethane elastomer are mutually bonded, to form latently releasable fibers which have a bonding interface at least partially connected to the surface of the fiber, are multicomponent fibers of bonding type and releasable with an aqueous solution having

PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane excellent in melt flow and thermoformability, by reacting a high-MW diol with an organic diisocyanate under specified conditions, adding a specified low-MW compound to the reaction system and reacting the mixture. CONSTITUTION: A prepolymer is made by reacting a high-MW diol of an average MW of 500W3,000 (e.g., polycaprolactonediol) with an organic diisocyanate (e.g., 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate) under conditions which simultaneously satisfy the relationships I, II and III, wherein r is a molar ratio of the NCO group to the OH group in the high MW diol in the reaction for making the prepolymer, and R is a molar ratio of the NCO group to the total reactive H atoms of the total polyurethane. This prepolymer is mixed with the balance of the organic diisocyanate and the obtained mixture is kneaded with a low-MW (

PURPOSE:A liquid layer formed with a polyurethane composition containing small particles of polyurethane is dipped into a coagulation liquid to form a porous layer, thereby obtaining high gas and moisture-permeating sheets. CONSTITUTION:A polyurethane composition comprising (A) 5-20 parts by wt of a polyurethane of 3.0-6.5 wt% nitrogen content originating from isocyanate groups that is soluble in a solvent, or a polymer composition mainly consisting of a polyurethane, (B) 93-45 parts of a solvent dissolving (A), (C) 0.3-13 wt% of a fine polyurethane powder that has 4.5-7.0 wt% nitrogen content originating from isocyanate groups and is insoluble in nonionic solvents, (D) 1.0-13 parts of water, (E) at least one selected from 6-10C aromatic, aliphatic and alicylic hydrocarbons and (F) 0.3-2 parts of a surfactant and/or coagulation controller is coated on a base. Then the resulting liquid layer is dipped into a coagulation liquid consisting of nonsolvents to form porous sheet, washed and dried.
Abstract:
A suede-like sheet material closely resembling natural leathers in feel and nap is produced by temporarily fixing a fibrous mat consisting of "oceano-insular" composite fibers, impregnating said fibrous mat with elastomer (A), smoothing the surface, impregnating the resulting mat with another elastomer (B) which is harder and less swellable than said elastomer (A), removing the sea or matrix component of the composite fiber, and napping the surface of the resulting sheet material.

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject sheet useful for leather-like sheet having excellent gloss and tenacity by containing polyurethane in the bundles of an ultrathin fiber bundle-like fiber and dispersing a specific ultrathin polyolefin fiber inside and around of the bundles. CONSTITUTION:The objective sheet is a fibrous sheet containing polyurethane (obtained by, e.g. reacting raw materials mainly composed of three components as a polymeric diol having 500-3000 average molecular weight, an organic diisocyanate and a low molecular weight compound having two active hydrogen atoms) in the spaces of interlaced fibers of an interlaced nonwoven cloth made of an ultrathin fiber bundle-like fiber. The polyurethane is contained within the bundles of said bundle-like fiber and an ultrathin polyolefin fiber having =500 aspect ratio which is dispersed within and around the bundles.

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric having excellent stretchability and suitable as a substrate for artificial leather, etc., by combining a multi- component fiber composed of an elastic fiber of polyurethane elastomer and a specific other non-elastic polymer with a multi-component fiber composed of non-elastic polymers other than the above polymer and entangling the fibers. CONSTITUTION:(A) An elastic polymer composed mainly of a polyurethane and (B) a non-elastic polymer (e.g., polyethylene) having solvent and decomposition agent different from those of the component A are dissolved in e.g., a common solvent and the obtained dope is spun to produce a multi-component fiber I. The ratio of the component A is preferably 30-80wt.%. Separately, a multi-component fiber II is produced by spinning (C) a non-elastic polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate and (D) a polymer (e.g., polystyrene) having solvent solubility and decomposability different from those of the component C in the same manner as above. The produced multi-component fiber II is combined with the above multi-component fiber I, opened e.g., with a carding machine to form a web and subjected to entangling treatment to obtain the objective nonwoven fabric.
