Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the power consumption increase at the starting time to the minimum limit by controlling the heatup time of a positive temperature coefficient thermistor, thereby optimizing the 2-phase operating time of a motor. CONSTITUTION:After a start switch 2 is closed, a main coil 3a, through which most of starting current is flowed, is not energized for the prescribed time T0, but only the circuit of the starting coil 3b is energized to preliminarily heat a positive temperature coefficient thermistor 4, thereby previously approaching the temperature of the thermistor 4 to Curie point. Then, the main coil 3a is energized. In this manner, the heatup time of the thermistor 4 can be shortened, thereby largely suppressing the power consumption at the starting time.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the inside of a water supply chamber from freezing by arranging a permanent magnet and a superconductor along a bypass passage provided between the water supply chamber and an outlet chamber of a hydrant and opening the bypass passage using Meissner effect in low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A bypass passage 15 is provided between a water supply chamber 3 in the upstream of a valve element 10 opening/closing a flow passage and an outlet chamber 4 in the downstream, and a permanent magnet 18 and a superconductor 16 are arranged along thereto. When the water temperature in the bypass passage 15 is a little higher than the freezing point, the bypass passage 15 is closed by the operation of the permanent magnet 18. When the temperature is lowered to near the freezing point, the permanent magnet 18 is pushed up by the Meissner effect of the superconductor 16 to open the bypass passage 15. This constitution can make a small amount of fluid to flow from the water supply chamber 3 to the outlet chamber 4 and prevent the freezing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To lower power consumption by dividing the fixed iron core of a solenoid part, providing a magnetizable/demagnetizable magnet between the divided parts, and magnetizing/demagnetizing the magnet by controlling electrification and making a plunge hold itself. CONSTITUTION:A slide valve 45 for switching over the connection of each conduit pipe is placed in a cylinder 33 to which four conduit pipes 34, 38, 39, 40 are connected. The slide valve 45 is linked to a plunger 51 and energized downward by means of a return spring 53. A fixed iron core 52 is placed on the upper part of the plunger 51, and a magnetizable/demagnetizable magnet 54 is provided so as to divide the fixed iron core 52 in the axial direction. And, a coil 55 is provided on the outside of the fixed iron core 52 and the plunger 51. As the coil 55 is electrified, the magnet 54 is magnetized making the plunger 51 hold itself, whereas, when the coil 55 is electrified in the opposite direction, the magnet 54 is demagnetized removing the self-holding of the plunger 51. Since the electrification is carried out only at the time of switchover, power consumption can be lowered.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of an air conditioner with a low cost and prevent generation of any noise in the changeover valve thereof by connecting a full-wave rectification circuit to the suction coil of a magnet provided with its fixed iron core divided in pieces, and a half-wave rectification circuit to a reset coil. CONSTITUTION:A fixed iron core 50 is arranged opposingly on one end of a plunger 49 on the same axis. A magnet 52 which can be magnetized and demagnetized is provided to divide the fixed iron core 50 into pieces axially. When electric current is supplied to a full wave rectification circuit 56 connected to a suction coil 53, the plunger 49 directly connected to sliding valves 39, 40, 43 is attracted by means of the fixed iron core 50. At the same time, the magnet 52 is magnetized so that only short time is needed to supply electric current for self-holding the plunger 49. In the case of resetting, self-holding can be released by supplying electric current to a half-wave rectification circuit 57 in a short time, so as to demagnetize the magnet 52.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To minimize a non-calking margin of a slide seat ring, by deforming both walls of an annular grooved part having a tapered part, which forms a high upper end to each groove side before calking, and securing the slide seat ring to a valve seat. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 16 provides in its inside a pair of valve seats 19, 20, and their respective seat surfaces 19a, 20a are parallelly fixed. While slide seat rings 26, 27, consisting of fluorine contained resin or the like, are adapted to the valve seats 19, 20, and the slide seat rings 26, 27 are housed in annular grooved parts 24a, 25a and secured by calking by deforming grooved part wall surfaces 24b, 24c, 25b, 25c. By this constitution, the slide seat ring, which enables its non-calking margin to be minimized and the calking along-surface length to be long increased, can use fluorine contained resin of low coefficient of friction.

While moving the slider 28 in the axial direction of a cylinder 16, the second communication port 19b or the third or fourth communication ports 20b, 20c are selectively switched. By this constitution, the slide valves 24, 25, decreasing their pressure receiving surface, enable the selecting force to be small reduced.
