    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the controllability of the refrigerant circulating amount of the user side refrigerating cycle of a multi-room split air conditioner. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a first refrigerant conveying pump 9a having a variable operating frequency, two second refrigerant conveying pumps 9b having a predetermined operating frequency, a refrigerant conveying pump suction pressure detector 16, and a first pump flow controller 17, wherein the controller 17 so sets the number (n) of the pumps 9b and the operating frequency (f) of the pump 9a that the suction pressure Ps falls within a predetermined range.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize excellent distribution of the refrigerant of indoor units by judging the opening of an indoor side expansion valve from the calculation result of a supercooling degree calculating means to calculate the difference between the calculation result of a saturated liquid temperature calculating means and the detected result of a first temperature sensor, and operating the indoor side expansion valve from the output signal. SOLUTION: In the heating operation when the non-azeotrope refrigerant is used, the condensation pressure is calculated with the saturated liquid temperature and the saturated gas temperature as the center temperature of indoor side heat exchangers 8a, 8b. The difference between the saturated liquid temperature calculated from the pressure and the outlet temperature of the indoor side heat exchangers 8a, 8b, i.e., the supercooling degree is calculated and the supercooling degree is compared with the prescribed cooling degree. Indoor side expansion valves 9a, 9b can appropriately be controlled thereby, deterioration of the refrigerant distribution between indoor units can be prevented irrespective of the installation conditions such as the long piping and the difference in height, and the capacity of the indoor unit can appropriately be controlled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an air conditioner which can prevent a frosting from generating in the vicinity of an inlet for a refrigerant of an outdoor heat- exchanger at the time of a heating operation for the air conditioner using a non-azeotropy mixed refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: At the time of a heating operation, a refrigerant which has passed an outdoor expansion valve 26 flows into a heat-exchanging unit 23 by the action of a first check valve, and heat-exchanges a refrigerant which has just passed an outdoor heat-exchanger 25. In the meantime, at the time of a cooling operation, the refrigerant which has just passed the outdoor heat- exchanger 25 is directly introduced to the outdoor expansion valve without being introduced to the heat-exchanging unit 23 by the action of a second check valve 28.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent into a refrigerant before room side electric expansion values from being formed into a double phase by controlling the openings of the room side electric expansion valves to be adapted to changing characteristics of overheating levels when the overheating levels of outlet pipings at a plurality of room machines all exceed a specified value. CONSTITUTION:In this multi-room type air-conditioning apparatus, a plurality of room machines 6 (a-c) are connected in parallel to an outdoor machine 1. Here, the room machines 6 are the same in structure. For example, in the room machine 6a, the opening of a room side electric expansion valve 7a is computed by a first means 12a based on a room temperature detected by the means 9a and the temperature set by a means 10a. The opening of the expansion valve 7a is computed by a second means 13a to match changing characteristics of overheating levels when a refrigerant is cooled excessively. Moreover, the opening of the expansion valve 7a is computed by a third means 19a to match changing characteristics of overheating levels in a double-phase condition of the refrigerant. A switching is performed by a means 21a to the control by the third means 19a when an overheating level protection signal is outputted from a means 20 of the outdoor machine 1 and to the control by the second means 13a in other cases.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a room temperature from being disturbed and contrive an energy saving by a method wherein a degree of opening of an indoor electrical expansion valve and a frequency of a compressor having a variable capability are controlled in such a manner that over-heating and over-cooling of refrigerant are not produced. CONSTITUTION:The first target degree of opening of each of the indoor electrical expansion valves 27a to 27c is calculated by the first target degree of opening calculating means 32 in response to a deviation between the room temperatures detected by room temperature sensing means 29a to 29c and the target temperatures set by temperature setting means 30a to 30c. The second target degree of opening of each of the indoor electrical expansion valves 27a to 27c is calculated by the second target degree of opening calculating means 33 in response to a degree of over-heating of outlet pipes of the indoor heat exchangers 31a to 31c detected by the over-heating degree sensing means 28a to 28c. A fuzzy inference is carried out in response to these results, over-heating degrees detected by the over-heating degree sensing means 28a to 28c and a control rule taken out of the memory device 35 and then the degree of opening of each of the indoor electrical expansion valves 27a to 27c is determined in response to the result of the inference. A frequency of each of the compressors 22a and 22b having a variable capability is determined by comparing it with the predetermined frequency. With such an arrangement as above, each of the indoor units is controlled in response to the most-suitable degree of opening and the most-suitable frequency.

CONSTITUTION:A fuzzy reasoning means 23 effects fuzzy logical operation by the information from a differentiating means 20, operating the change rate of driving current of a refrigerant pump 10, a cooling and heating modes detecting means 18 and a difference of electric current operating means 19 and the control rule of a memory device 22 to determine the opening degree of user side solenoid valves 11-14. In this case, the first solenoid valve 11 between the outlet port of the refrigerant pump 10 and a user side heat exchanger 8 and the third solenoid valve 13 between the inlet port of the refrigerant pump 10 and a second auxiliary heat exchanger 7 are controlled upon room cooling. Upon room heating, the second and fourth solenoid valves 12, 14 are controlled.
