    Abstract: Un ciclador de diálisis peritoneal (116, 216), que comprende: un tubo combinado de infusión y efluente (128, 228) para administrar y recibir un dializado peritoneal hacia y desde una cavidad peritoneal (10); al menos una bomba (118, 218) colocada en el tubo combinado de infusión y efluente; y al menos un sensor (106a-106h) conectado de manera fluida al tubo combinado de infusión y efluente, en donde el al menos un sensor se selecciona del grupo que consiste en: un sensor de flujo, un electrodo selectivo de iones, un sensor de pH, un sensor de presión, un sensor de índice de refracción, un sensor de conductividad y un sensor de temperatura, caracterizado porque el ciclador de diálisis peritoneal comprende, además: una trayectoria de flujo de muestreo (130, 230) conectada de manera fluida al tubo combinado de infusión y efluente, en la que el al menos un sensor está colocado en la trayectoria de flujo de muestreo; una válvula que conecta el tubo combinado de infusión y efluente a la trayectoria de flujo de muestreo; y al menos una bomba en la trayectoria de flujo de muestreo.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to an implantable drug depot useful for reducing, preventing or treating post-operative pain in a patient in need of such treatment, the implantable drug depot comprising a therapeutically effective amount of clonidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a polymer; wherein the depot is implantable at a site beneath the skin to reduce, prevent or treat post-operative pain, and the depot is capable of releasing (i) about 5% to about 45% of the clonidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof relative to a total amount of the clonidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof loaded in the drug depot over a first period of up to 48 hours and (ii) about 55% to about 95% of the clonidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof relative to a total amount of the clonidine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof loaded in the drug depot over a subsequent period of at least 3 days.
